Back in the day, before milliseconds mattered, famed BFDIA 5b speed runner Meester Tweester decided to lower their time by as much as possible. Sub-25. Sub-23. Sub-20. Sub-18. 17:40. The foundation of modern 5b speed running was laid.
Milliseconds did not matter yet. Literally nobody else was close enough to Meester for them to matter anyways. Meester, being the only mod, did not choose to retime their own run to the millisecond. Milliseconds did not matter yet.
Fast foward eight years, and this stupid dude called yuGesenawiaTmodnaRA is making some stupid project about using making a stupid application to rewind 5b history. Because he was so stupid, he whines a dozen times every day about Meester Tweester’s no-millisecond times. What a stupid thing to worry ab—OH WAIT A SEC THIS IS ACTUALLY VERY IMPORTANT
Okay seriously though, what do you think I should do about those Meester runs? I want to go with how the community considers those times. Do you
A) Consider them as second-perfect runs, or do you
B) consider them as runs with milliseconds that no one bothered to retime
Big news! We are unveiling a shiny new Discord server specifically for BFDIA 5b Speedrunning!!
The single speedrun channel in the 5b Central Discord server has served us extremely well for the past six years, but as the community continues to grow rapidly, we could use a bit more real estate. That'
