how do i get into it?

there are a bunch of different versions of slope, i would get used to playing on the version you plan to speedrun by just going for high scores until you feel comfortable with the controls. once you feel good with the controls, the most important thing with slope speedruns is to minimize the time you spend touching ramps. you can look at just about any of the existing slope runs to get a good idea about how do accomplish that
