Hi everyone,

The last status regarding opening the boards as follows is:

• We'd like to use MIGT as primary timing method for PC solo runs. However, since the MIGT integration is not part of the latest release of SoulSplitter (LiveSplit integration for multiple Souls games - including Nightreign) but a new release named "SoulSplitter v2" and this version not being ready yet for release, we need to write a guide on how to manually get it to work in LiveSplit until then. Additionally, there were new fixes released for the MIGT plugin which need to be tested.

• We initially planned to use IGT for console however it seems likely we will switch to RTA entirely for consoles, meaning RTA will be used for both console and trio runs. This is because after further testing, it seems IGT on console also drifts a lot more than we anticipated. Therefor the concept ruleset needs to be altered.

• The rules for trio runs are conceptualized although require more reviewing before having a finalized ruleset. However since this is also taking longer than expected, we may decide to open the boards with solo runs first while we work on trio runs.

We decide to further postpone opening the boards until we have a ruleset and timing methods that the active community agrees with and satisfies the requirements of the mods. It would be unwise to rush opening the boards for trivial reasons.

We understand people are eager to compete but please understand that with a game such as Nightreign there is a whole new layer of complexity that needs to be tackled and a lot of things moderation and timing wise need to be considered and tested.
