I think that this spirit upgrade decreases how enjoyable running this game is because players are incentivized to restart the game to farm for a good charm (power from pain seems to be the strongest for speed running). I think that another category for no spirit fragments upgrade could be a good addition.

I think that’s a fair take Sumpos, however I think that in the “spirit” (pun intended) of speedrunning that charm start makes sense. I think we could define some categories once the discord gets setup and come to agreements for categories that would bring forth different styles of runs.
