Hello, people of speedrunning community!
I have noticed there are some changes needed in rules, since DD2 had some updates recently. So.. this message is mostly addressed towards the mods.
As of 7.03.2018 with the release of "Power of the Ancients Patch 2.3: Barbarian's Wrath" update all of the previous DD2 Campaign speedruns become outdated due to a new, obligatory tutorial formed by 3 first maps, which makes the runs longer. The tutorial also requires use of 3 different heroes' towers in order to proceed with the playthrough thus rendering "1 character only" type of speedrun impossible with current rules; I recommend either changing the 1st rule of said run type to "Player must keep the same character for entirety of the run except for placing required towers in designated places during tutorial, then switching back to chosen character before starting the next wave" or just excluding the first 3 maps from the run.
Besides the most recent update, I believe it is necessary to add rules regarding Ancient Power system added in previous big update, mostly in standard campaign modes (Campaign Solo, Campaign Multiplayer, Campaign Solo (1 Character Only)). I personally would add "Player must have 0 Ancient Powers for entirety of the run".

I'll be doing a Campaign+ Solo (both 1-hero and standard) run when I have ~2h of free time (and possibly stream it on Twitch if it won't increase my lag). How is the time calculated tho? Is it just the total time taken by the player or are the loading screens excluded? The second option would be lovely, since they're really long for me and I cannot affect them anyhow.
A new update just came out, which removes the tutorial from Hard difficulty on Campaign. I think changing the rules to play on Hard instead of Normal is a great idea.
