With the release of DarkStone Restoration, I've decided to allow runs from both the original version and the restoration on the leaderboards. DarkStone is known to have compatibility issues on modern PCs and recording software, many of which are addressed by the restoration. For this reason, support for both versions has been added to the leaderboards to ensure players can reliably submit runs.

After playtesting the restoration, it appears to include not only graphical and compatibility improvements, but also several gameplay and balance changes. These may affect run times. Because of this, the leaderboards has been updated to include a Version subcategory:

• Original
• Restoration

This allows both versions to be supported while ensuring runs are compared under the same conditions.

Existing runs have been categorized as Original, and all future submissions should select the version they were played on. If further testing shows additional differences between the two versions, the rules may be updated accordingly.
