Hey everyone,

For anyone who is not in the MDSR Discord:

We have decided to merge the sub-category 'difficulties' for Any%: Classic/Nightmare/Ultra-Nightmare. This is mainly due to recent developments in the Any% run and Ultra-Nightmare now technically being the fastest difficulty to run Any% on. Additionally these are the benefits:

  1. The category looks cleaner
  2. Its easier to view under what difficulty each Any% run was performed in.
  3. Since UN is now the fastest Any% difficulty: it builds the WR history properly.

This means difficulties are now a separate variable rather than a standalone subcategory and means only your fastest Any% time from that respective difficulty will show on the Any% leaderboard.

If you have several Any% runs in several different difficulties, you can still view your leaderboard ranking for each individual difficulty through Filters on speedrun.com. Simply select Filters and select the difficulty of your choice to instantly see your leaderboard placement.

To clarify: this only counts for Any%. Other categories remain the same.
