-Intro The goal of this category is simply put to reach the end without any extra effort, in order to do this you will need to get the 3 powers from 3 levels and get to the final boss and flip the switch on him. We play on Beginner because its faster, the enemies on Expert take way to much damage and are very aggressive. I should mention that this game is emulated because: A. This game is stupid rare and will cost you 100's of dollars to buy if you even find one. B. This game is on a Floppy Disc which sometimes just lose some charge and become a paper weight. I run Creepy Castle on Mini VMac as it runs Black and White Mac games like this better. This guide will also work on Frankie's Dungeon as they are essentially the same game.
-Setup In order to start a real run you will first have to play through the game, getting all the items and powers that you will get through the run (You can skip stuff your not going to get like bullets and charms that clear the screen) Doing this stops the info text boxes from showing up and wasting a good 20-30 seconds.

Stage 1: The Woods (Wolves in the Woods) Go right and jump over Wolves and Pits and pick up rocks on the floor. I typically try to throw a rock as a Werewolf as he jumps towards me and finish him off with a jump kick. Finishing a Werewolf with a jump kick nets you the Jumping Power which allows you to jump higher and might increase your jump kick damage. If you see any more Werewolves (or any standing enemies in the future) do a jump kick to go through them. After getting the jump power keep going right and try to jump if you know your getting hit. Getting hit while in the air stuns you for less time than getting hit on the ground. When you approach the boss you should have around 25 rocks, get as close as you can without getting smacked and just throw all your rocks at him until he's dead. After he dies try to walk right as much as you can before the text box comes up. And thats stage 1.

Stage 2: The Graveyard (Ghouls in the Graveyard) Go right jump over pits, pick up knives, jump over the hand in the ground and jump when a spider is about to reach your head. When you see a ghoul with a knife kill him with a knife to get the Deadly Aim Power, this makes your thrown weapons do more damage which is good for the boss of this stage. Be mindful of the Miner Ghoul as they are the only creature that can block a jump kick, if they are blocking a jump you can quickly punch them on the ground to kill them (I didn't find this out until after my PB) or you can just throw a knife to kill them. Once you get to the boss get as close as you can but not too close or he drags you underground and kills you instantly. Then just chuck knives at him until he dies (takes around 15 knives to kill) and again try to go as far right that you can before the text box appears. And thats stage 2.

Stage 3: The Castle (Bats in the Belfry) This stage is where times will vary wildly. It might be possible to go through this stage without getting stunned or trolled by the Vampires but It also might be possible to get a shiny starter Pokemon. The Vampires in this stage can do a (seemingly) room wide stun that will leave you stunned until you are hit either by a vampire or a bat. You will also have to get the Super Strength Power from punching a vampire to death. I stutter punch a vampire to death in order to do this. If you forget to do this (like I have) the hand jar on the final boss wont break and the boss wont go into the kill zone. Pick up stakes and jump over the pit traps and go right dealing with the vampires and bats best you can. You might be tempted to pick up the garlic or ring but you'll just end up using it when spamming to get up a ladder and just waste time. When your distance bar starts flashing keep going right until you see a door and go into it. Now we're at the tower part of the level. Go up the ladders and throw a stake at any vampires you see, either it will kill them or they will block it and be distracted long enough while you go up the ladder. Once you reach the top, ring the bell twice to send the bats to the left and right and head to the left. Be sure to kill any vampires with stakes or whatever as If they are near you on the edge they throw you off killing you instantly. Punch the bat in the air and pick up the key he dropped. Go to the other side and do the same with the other bat to get the cross, with both these items head all the way back down to the bottom. When you get to the bottom there will be a Big Vampire ready to fight. Head to the right sort of near the Window and use the cross to blind him (if you are too close he tries to hit you and while not dead center the cross will not stun him.) Once he is covering his eyes do a jumping kick and once he is impaled head close to the hatch. If all is done correctly congratulations stage 3 is done.

Final Stage: The Dungeon (Doctor in the Dungeon) When this start starts try to find a cave to go into, if you go into a door you have to do a lightning dodging minigame and waste alot of time. We want to go into a cave ASAP because the rats will stun you into hell which is also why we stay on the cave side for the entirety. Once finally in the cave portion pick up axes and jump over the chasms. Sometimes you'll jump over a chasm and a tentacle will immediately pull you down and kill you, there's no way to know without sitting there and waiting for one to come out so I typically lose around two lives to the tentacles. Theres also the little axe guys, Frankenstein's and Brides of Frankenstein's. All the enemies can be removed with a single axe throw but the Brides typically eat more time with their attack (which was lucky I didn't even see any on my PB.) Again once the distance meter flashes head into the next door on the right to face the final boss. Heres the big cheese himself, throw an axe to stun him to get past each electricity rod and head forward. Once past that be very careful past the switch to not be smashed by the 16 ton weight (a one hit kill.) Then run/jump to the jar of hands and smash it, the run back to the electric area (while avoiding the weight a second time) try to lure the doctor back there then get in front and hit the switch, zapping him and finishing the game. Time ends with a successful switch kill (as the rest is a cutscene) and congrats thats a Creepy Castle Any% run.
-Glitches? There are not many glitches I know of for this game. The closest thing I found was if you can get to the far right of the boss screen in stages 1 and 2 it'll end without the annoying text box. I have only done this ONCE in Frankie's Dungeon but maybe there's an exploit where if you get to the end of the screen you might be able to skip the boss, but this would only save a little time as you have to kill the vampire and the doctor the legit way to kill them.
-General Tips
- Try to jump if you are getting hit (and you do get hit often in this game)
- Try to avoid health items unless you feel like you really need them.
- Don't bother trying to hit the birds for the items to kill the first two bosses.
- Set up the keys to other buttons as they are a lil awkward by default.
- This game is very stiff and often eats inputs.
- Don't get more than 80% accuracy as it will eat up some frames in the post level point screen.
- There is a save function in Creepy Castle but not Frankie's Dungeon
- I have no Idea why the level select is there when you cant finish the game if you choose any level but 1.
- Play Frankie's Dungeon for the funny sound effects.
