Introduction : This document show the fastest way to beat all the bosses of the game, in NG+. It's done with only Aurora and Norah, their stats are listed below. Aurora ability allowed her to counter attack with 20% success. If the fastest way against boss used counter attack, an other one, without counter attack, will be show. I will not make any distiction between fight with 2 or 3 wishtree, they not supposed to have importance. It's better to increase Aurora's statistic before Norah, Norah save really few amount of time You will need oculi, but it will be easy to have all you need after 2 or 3 New Game. There is possibility than I made some mistakes, especially when I talk about technique that seems possible for someone better with igniculus than I am. Or when 2 different way to kill a boss are supposed to take same time, maybe there is few difference. That's because it's hard to verify the time those strategies take, and because this hadn't big repercussion in a run. Anyway, if you find something who can't work, come to tell it to me, than I could change the doc. Also, there is some link below Who could help you, and give more explanation than this document. Characters :

Aurora :

  • PV : ¤¤ [MAX = Unknown]

  • PM : ¤¤¤ [MAX = Unknown]

  • Force : 999 [MAX]

  • Physical defense : ¤ [MAX = 600]

  • Magic : 999 [MAX]

  • Magic defense : ¤ [MAX = 600]

  • Critical : 50 [MAX]

  • Dodge : 50 [MAX]

  • Speed : 50 [MAX]

  • Oculi 1 (Weapon) : Onyx (Increase magic by 25%)

  • Oculi 2 (Armor) : Spinel (allows to have a no-claims bonus speed if interruption (in the event of bad RNG or of rror)) or Princess stone (Increase your resistance, useful if your defense is not set to maximum)

  • Oculi 3 (Accessory) : Princess stone (Increase magic by 35%)

Norah :

  • PV : ¤¤ [MAX=Inconnu]

  • PM : ¤¤¤¤ [MAX=Inconnu]

  • Attack : 999 [MAX]

  • Physical defense : ¤ [MAX=600]

  • Magic : ¤¤¤¤ [MAX=999]

  • Magic defense : ¤ [MAX=600]

  • Critical : 50 [MAX]

  • Dodges : 50 [MAX]

  • Speed : 50 [MAX]

  • Oculi 1 (Weapon) : Princess stone (Increase strength by 40%)

  • Oculi 2 (Armor) : Nothing

  • Oculi 3 (Accessory) : Nothing

    Only Aurora keeps her oculi from one part to another, once equipped you will not have to think on it. Norah will have to be equipped at each NG+, therefore I put only one oculi to her (the saving of time thanks to a diamond or a spinel does not seem relevant compared to the time of equipment). To make Norah equipment the fastest as possible I made so that your Princess Stone (who is inevitably in last place in your inventory) is at the beginning of line (you can either give oculi, or to consume them while craft some again to place your Pierre Princess at the beginning of line). Like that, while pressing on the key “high” in the menu, you will find yourselves directly on Princess Stone without having to move side right or left. Think of checking that before each RUN in order not to equip a wrong oculi in precipitation.

¤ : Defense statistics are not very important because they just make it possible to resist damage. Rather quickly they make it possible to reduce the damage received to some tens of points of life, which should be enough to avoid death. If you wish to train it to the maximum (600) , you will not suffer any damage. ¤¤ : The number of life point is not very important for 2 reasons. If your defense is not too low you will undergo only little damage in fight, Igniculus should be enough to look after you. As regards the damage undergone outside combat, by running up against the walls covered with prickles or of fireballs, it seems to correspond to a percentage of your life. To have more PV will do nothing but to increase the damage undergone without allowing you to undergo some more. Norah cannot take damage during exploration (only Aurora). ¤¤¤ : To have about sixty MP should allow you to launch all the spell necessary to beat those bosses, but would have you force often to reload you thanks to the “trees with wishes” during the fight. More should allow you to pay less and less attention to it. With 200PM you have no need to pay attention to it. ¤¤¤¤ : Norah does not need to launch spell in this run, its number of MP and its magic is thus of no importance.

Strategies against bosses (With good RNG):

Strategies are represented this way : Character attacking first -> Action he do -> reaction of the target (die / resist) -> Reaction other target Character attacking second -> Action he do -> reaction of the target …

First boss : first fight of the game is against a simple enemy Aurora -> Slash -> Enemy die (No RNG)

Secondary boss : in this second fight, you are against 2 opponent, headless knights, vulnerable to magic. Aurora -> Light Ray All -> Knight 1 die -> Knight 2 die

Third boss : This fight is about to kill the first giant, resisting magic, he come with 2 dogs resisting physical attack Aurora -> Slash All -> first dog die -> secondary dog die -> giant die (need critical hit¤) ¤ If you don't do critical hit you will have to hit him again. Using igniculus to slow the giant allow you hit him again before is first attack. There is no need to slow the dogs!

Three next fight are against little pack of spider, they resist magic attack. Aurora¤ -> Slash All -> Spider 1 die Norah¤ -> Petrify All -> Spider 2 die -> Spider 3 die

¤ Whatever who have initiative in that fight (Aurora or Norah), you will not be able to strike before the other one had chose his attack. To choose Slash or Petrify is faster than Slash All or Petrify All, but you take two risk. The first one is to see the character who choose his attack in second position strike first and kill only 1 spider, making you lose time (because of the attack animation). The second one is about possibility from enemy to evade your attack (that happen a lot). With two global attacks, the second one could kill remaining spiders.

Seventh boss : We have to fight a giant spider, weak to magic, and 2 little spiders, who resist magic. Aurora -> Light Ray (to giant spider) -> Giant spider die (need critical hit¤) Norah¤¤ -> Petrify All -> Spider 1 die -> Spider 2 die ¤ If Aurora fail her critical hit Norah is supposed to finish giant spider when she strike. Try to slow down the giant spider enough for no counter attack, and the little spider who are going to strike first. If not, the little spider could attack before Norah and interrupt her! ¤¤ If Norah have initiative, slow down giant spider to avoid counter attack. Just be sure the little spider are not about to strike before you do (spider attaque take more time than counter attack).

Eighth boss : We are now against a griffin who resist magic, with two ghost who resist physical damage.

Norah¤¤ -> Petrify (on griffin) -> Griffin die (need crit or paralyse¤) Aurora¤¤ -> Light Ray All -> Ghost 1 die -> Ghost 2 die

¤ Light Ray All is enough to finish griffin, without loosing time (fight end after light ray anyway). If you don't get crit or paralyse, you are about to waste time. ¤¤ Light Ray All take long time before launch. Even if Aurora have initiative, Norah should strike first. If Norah have initiative it's possible to slow down griffin enough to make sure he can't have interruption and counter attack. But you have risk to be hit by a ghost. Best choice is, I guess, improvisation according to your capability with Igniculus and where are the bad guys. ¤¤¤ Norah will automaticly target griffin, it's one thing you don't have to think about!

Ninth boss : We are facing Crepusculum, who resist magic. She is with two ghost who resist physical damage.

Strategie with counter-attack [CA] : Aurora¤ -> Light Ray All -> Ghost 1 die -> Ghost 2 die -> Crepusculum resist Crepusculum -> Attack -> Aurora dodge and do a counter-attack (need critical hit¤¤) Aurora -> Slash -> Crepusculum die (need critical hit¤¤)

Strategie without counter-attack : Aurora¤ -> Light Ray All -> Ghost 1 die -> Ghost 2 die -> Crepusculum is interrupt¤¤¤ Aurora -> Slash -> Crepusculum resist (need critical hit¤¤) Aurora -> Slash -> Crepusculum die (need critical hit¤¤)

¤ If you don't slow enough Crepusculum as soon as the fight start she risk to act before you do, you risk be interrupt and paralyzed, also those two minion are a problem if they don't die quick! ¤¤ Only one of the two critic is needed to kill her fast. ¤¤¤ Crepusculum can't be killed without doing at least one action. She can slow you down and paralyze you, those attack make you lost a lot of time so safe strategy is interuption. This way she's suppose to heal herself and let you in peace. [CA] You need to slow down Crepusculum because you don't want her interrupted. If she decide to buff herself or Aurora doesn't dodge and counter attack you will need one more Slash to finish the fight. This strategie is still faster even you need one more Slash as long as you're not paralyzed!

Tenth boss : We are fighting the second giant. He's with two dogs who resist physical damage.

Strategie with counter-attack [CA] : Giant¤¤ -> Flail -> Aurora dodge and counter-attack (Need critical hit¤¤¤) Aurora¤ -> Light Ray All -> Dog 1 die -> Dog 2 die -> Giant die

Strategie without counter-attack : Giant¤¤ -> Ogre's Wrath Aurora¤ -> Light Ray All -> Dog 1 die -> Dog 2 die -> Giant resist Aurora -> Slash -> Giant die (need critical hit¤¤¤)

¤ Seems Aurora could attack first in this fight. But you need to be precise enough with Igniculus to slow down the giant and the "fastest" dog. If the giant is interrupted he will have counter-attack and you could get paralysed. Dog have no attack when interrupted, but they could slow you down if he attack (it's hard for me, but you could try, seem possible). ¤¤You could block the giant and let one dog strike instead, but dog could interrupt you and slow you down. Also, if you get a counter-attack you will not save time! ¤¤¤ I'm not sure a critical hit with Light Ray All is enough to kill the giant, you probably need one more Slash. [CA] If Aurora doesn't dodge, or don't get counter-attack, strategie will be same as no counter-attack.

Eleventh boss : We are against a little fish, weak to magic, coming with two friend. Aurora -> Light Ray All -> Fish interrupt (need critical hit¤) -> Ghost die -> Statue die Aurora -> Starlight¤¤¤ -> Fish die (need critical hit¤

¤ Only one critical hit is required for killing the fish. Without, you'll still able to kill the fish before he could attack you, just slow him down after he is interrupted. ¤¤ If the statue isn't slowed down, it's going to attack you. Slow him with Igniculus when the fight start and you will be fine. ¤¤¤ Starlight launch faster than Light Ray, and you will need the same number of attack to kill the fish no matter what happen. Two attack with critical hit, three without!

twelfth boss : Nox, last but one boss of the game, probably the strongest, resist physical attack. And his two tentacles who resist magic. Aurora -> Slash All -> Tentacle 1 die (need critical hit¤) -> Tentacle 2 die (need critical hit¤) -> Nox resist Nox -> Sea Serpent's Kiss Aurora -> Starlight¤¤¤ -> Nox resist(need critical hit¤¤) Aurora -> Starlight¤¤¤ -> Nox die (Need critical hit¤¤)

¤ If you failed killing the two tentacles with Slash All, used Light Ray All to finish them. It's enough for killing those two and do more damage to Nox than two Slash All. You could prefer Slash, only if you are about to be interrupted. ¤¤ Only one critical hit seems needed to kill Nox with three hit. Unless the critical hit come during Slash All. ¤¤¤ You will need the same number of hit no matter you use Light Ray or Starlight, Starlight launch faster so, use starlight.

thirteenth boss : Umbra, queen of the night is the last boss. She's weak against light. And two birds who could counter magical attack, but, don't need to be killed. Aurora -> Starlight¤ -> Umbra¤¤ die (Need Critical hit)

¤ Once again Starlight is better than Light Ray because you will need the same number of hit to kill Umbra, no matter the spell used, but Starlight launch faster. ¤¤ Umbra is not automaticly targeted (unlike griffin), make yourself sure you are not about to hit a minion!
