Change Log

2016/2/19- Rough guide based on Champloo’s previous WR, slightly updated some different strats.

2016/2/23 - Added Griffon Video and added some missing things

2016/6/29 - preSGDQ Updates

2021/11/09 - Minor updates & notes // TODO: update for a couple of new stuff.

8/18/2023 - [chore] Cleanup notes since src changed the rendering of the document. A couple of adjustments

Overview

I would recommend doing a casual play through of game to be comfortable with the mechanics. I'd also recommend watching my video tutorial for a bit more explanation of the basic route. This is a somewhat beginner friendly route, mostly follows along with the video, with a few updates.

Pre-run options

  • Battle Speed 5
  • Skip Battle Intros (Checked)
  • Tutorials (Unchecked)

Additionally, this run does not use DLC. Ensure those are disabled in Steam / whereever.

Timer info

Run starts moment "Casual" Difficulty is selected. Run ends after Umbra fight when screen turns all white.

The Girl and the Firefly

Once you gain control of Aurora (around ~2:20) start moving. Fastest movement is by making short hops and canceling the hard-landing animation.

Mash through text, use all available buttons (e.g. pc space / enter / left click)

Light Puzzle.

Cricket Fights: 1st Cricket: Just attack him twice. If you interrupt him, you got good RNG. Slow only after you interrupt him.

2nd Cricket. Get preemptive. Slow & Kill.

LEVEL UP

Aurora - Starlight (Note: This is her main path and you will not be putting any points into other paths)

  • Treasure Pickup
  • Healing Tonic (After the 2nd cricket, on the elevated ledge)

3rd Cricket Fight: Slow & Kill

These 3 fights are the only non-boss/required fights that you will be fighting in the game. If you encounter any other enemy, flee

Only thing of note is the puzzle room that you will encounter.

Box Jump

The idea is you leave the box on the middle platform and push so it's partially off the the ledge. And then from the platform you can do a running jump, onto the box, and carry that momentum if you continue hop again to carry you over to the platform with the switch.

Boss: Statues

[Note: First real fight of the game. Does a good job teaching you properly use Igniculus to manage the ATB of enemies in a fight. It is a very useful skill and very important in taking as little time as possible in a fight.]

Target back (staff) statue first. Don't slow immediately

  • Aurora - Starlight [repeat x3]

Start slowing back statue as soon as your cast finishes & keep slowing. Hopefully, your next cast will interrupt and you will prevent it from taking a turn. You'll need to pick up MP Wishes from both of the flowers to be able to have MP to cast 3 times.

Back Statue Dead

  • Aurora - Slash [repeat x7]

try to interrupt each attack. You'll only want to use Igniculus to slow enough so that Aurora catches up to him on the ATB bar. If you slow all the time you'll run out

(Things that can mess up this fight a little. Back statue using Ambrosia, Front Statue using Gather Strength -> Elysium Gate turn 1 & 2 can throw your ATB off. Still easily doable but can add a little bit of time if not reacted to properly)

Into the West

Cutscene Skips

Close out of the game (Alt+F4). Once when the narration starts, next one is when Aurora looks upwards towards the star after having the conversation with the old lady.

  • Treasures / Stardust Pick up chests on left & right and get the MP Stardust on the left

Softlock warning

You need to make sure you hit this cutscene. If you move too quickly to leave this area, you will skip the cutscene and the game will softlock down the line. It's technically recoverable because you should be able to trigger the cutscene by going back.

Get Rubella.

Treasures / Stardust

Head straight, you'll see some chests along the way

Healing Tonic & Magic Potions- Freebies along the way.

Strength Stardust - Inside the tunnel of spikes.

Before Giant

LEVEL UP

  • Aurora - Main Path
  • Rubella - Tumble Path

STARDUST

  • Aurora - Magic, MP

Boss: Giant

NOTE: DON'T CAST STARLIGHT ON GIANT. GETS MAGIC COUNTERED

Note: Try to interrupt Giant w/ Rubella as much as you can, Rubella interrupting Giant takes priority over hitting wolf

Slow Giant at Start, primary target for slow. But if you can slow a wolf for a little bit to interrupt it, do that

Wolves die from 2 Starlight + 1 Tumble or 2 Tumble + 1 Starlight

Wolves down

Hit Giant. Interrupt a lot, only use just enough Firefly bar so that Giant can get countered.

An Unexpected Reunion

Head towards Capilli Village.

Finn Skip

Discovered by NostraDamon Described here: on sda

Here's a video of me explaining it. Little hard to walk through via text:

The general idea is entering a cutscene while in a menu (entering the well and pressing esc. at the same time). Teleporting away, and the game autosaving you at the new location after you complete the cutscene so you never get placed in the well.

  • Stardust

Before Wind Tunnel, MDef Stardust can pick up along the way. [Hidden area inside the wind tunnel].

Continue to the next zone. Head straight to first windmill. There are a few 'safety' treasures to pick up in this area if you're learning the route for the first time. Video tutorial goes over those. Get Norah. More Windmills.

  • Starlight

HP Stardust (Before wheel 'o spikes)

  • Treasures

Quicken Elixir (After wheel 'o spikes) Magic Potions (After mini-cutscene) ¤freebies¤

  • Optional Stardust

Inside the last Windmill, there is a section leading down, you can go down there to get a Strength Stardust. Takes ~10s to get. Makes next section easier, but not sure if it is an actual time save (give it to Robert).

  • Oculi

(After the last Windmill. There are a few Oculi we can get. As Oculi from chests are mostly random, relying on them too heavily is RNG.) Tumbled Oculi x1 - Hiding under the Geodude. Rough Oculi x3 - Right after the previous chest. Rough Oculi x2 - As you enter town on the edge of the cliff.

Bolmus Populi

  • Treasure Faery Nectar - On a balcony. Freebie.

Robert joins Party, chat with Magna

Of Mice and Magna

Cutscene/Chat

  • Treasures

Damage Elixir & Quicken Elixirs - near the ceiling & on the left side of the room as soon as you enter.

Lull Elixir (optional) - Just below the two previous treasures.

2x Potent Healing Potions x2 - Take the Right Fork, get these treasures.

(The order that you do the spiders doesn't really matter, each fight is identical. Out of habit I go Left, Right, then Down).

Left Path

  • Treasures Faery Nectar - 2nd Treasure (Igniculus Chest).
  • Stardust MDef Stardust behind spider.

Menu & Level up

  • Levels

Robert - Hinder Path (Main path, and won’t be getting any points into other paths)

Norah - Lull, Unstoppable

  • STARDUST

Aurora - HP

Robert - Strength (x2 if you grabbed the optional Str Stardust from the previous section)

  • OCULI

Robert - Tumbled Oculi (doesn't matter what kind) - Equip on Weapon.

Spider Fight

Get Surprise Attack by going behind spider. (Ensure you get a surprise attack on every spider fight, should be easy if you blind them)

Start the fight by finding the Spider that is the furthest back on the ATB bar. Slow that one with Igniculus.

  • Switch in Norah > Lull All (Bring out Norah first)
  • Switch in Robert > Rain Arrows [repeat]
  • Norah > Quicken Robert, then try to be useful after that (single target petrify to interrupt)

Use Igniculus to slow so that spiders stay grouped together so you can easily interrupt them together.

Right Path

  • Optional Stardust

Def. Stardust near entrance to the right path. Must be close floor. Pretty optional but it's mostly free.

  • Treasure

Damage Elixirs before you reach spider. Hovering above the lava.

Spider 2

Depends on who starts first. If Norah started first, we do same strategy as first spider. If Robert starts first, see below. It will be random on who starts first.

Find the spider further back on the ATB bar. Slow that one.

  • Robert > Rain Arrows [repeat]
  • Norah > Unstoppable (Robert)
  • Norah > Quicken (Robert), then try to be useful after that (single target petrify to interrupt)

Try to keep spiders grouped on the ATB for easier interrupts. If Robert gets slowed, reapply Quicken

--

Bottom path.

Robert Sidequest. No way to skip doing this sidequest atm if we want to keep Robert. Simple Puzzle.

After puzzle: Treasures optional. Get for safety & Oculi.

Pre-Spider 3 Menu

LEVEL UP

  • Robert - Same (hinder) path
  • Norah - Petrify (All) (should have 1 point left over)

Spider 3

As with second spider, strategy depends on who starts first. Only thing that will be different is Norah has Petrify (All) for hitting all 3 spiders.

Pre Boss Setup

LEVEL UP

  • Aurora - Starlight path
  • Rubella - Finish Main Path (optional) Revive
  • Finn - Lightning Strike Path (Main Path and won’t be getting point into other paths)
  • Robert - Hinder
  • Norah - Get through Charm Time (Quicken Path)

CRAFT OCULI

  • Rough, Tourmaline Amethyst + Citrine = Rough Onyx
  • Optional - If you have extra Sapphires + Emerald. Combine them to make a Tourmaline. Try to make a Tumbled Tourmaline if possible.

EQUIP OCULI

  • Finn - Rough Onyx (weapon)
  • Tourmaline (accessory) (Tumbled, if you made one)

Boss: Big Spider

NOTE: Avoid interrupting big spider, counters with quicken (all)

Strat using Rubella + Ailment Protection. Other strats exist, this one seems most beginner friendly & consistent, this is the strat is used in the video tutorial.

Alternatively, you can use Norah to Lull (all) instead of ailment protection and treat the fights somewhat similar to the previous spider fights until small spiders are dead, then move onto Lightning Striking with Finn.

Slow Large Spider @ Start

  • Rubella/Robert
  • Robert - (Turn 1) Rain Arrows.
  • Rubella - Ailment Protection
  • Robert - (Turn 2) Defend to avoid interrupting Boss and avoid getting interrupted.
  • Tumble (All)/Rain Arrows Till Adds Die.

When Adds die:

  • Switch to Finn/Norah
  • Finn - Lightning Strike [repeat], use Igniculus to slow Spider to avoid interrupts
  • [Note: If you interrupt spider, remove Quicken from it by, Lull with Norah or Lull Elixir (if you grabbed them) or Hinder with Robert]
  • Norah - Damage Elixir (Finn), Quicken (Finn)
  • Swap in Aurora - Starlight [repeat]
  • When Finn low on MP, use MP Potion / Faerie Nectar from Aurora

Duke and the Duchess

Post Spider Cutscene Skip

Normally after the spider boss you get teleported after a short dialog back to Bolmus Populi, Robert gets rejected and you play a song of your people for him. It's possible to skip this cutscene, but a little tricky and kinda a coinflip.

Mash Esc. button during the dialog. There's a very small window after the dialog as they're teleporting you to Bolmus Populi where you can menu. If you get lucky and get in this menu, teleport to the Alter. *Note, you must teleport somewhere far away enough where you'll get a loading zone. Once the teleport is complete, teleport back to Bolmus Populi and you should be able to move on w/ Robert still in your party.

  • Treasures Right side of area before Griffon. 1 Lever Chest. 1 Chest. 1 Oculi Chest.

Pre-Boss Menu

LEVEL UP

  • Aurora - Starlight path
  • Finn - Lightning Strike path
  • Norah - Quicken (All), [Quicken Path] ¤¤Important for next fight.
  • Robert - Hinder Path

OCULI

  • Finn - Remove Rough Onyx/Tourmaline
  • Aurora - Equip Rough Onyx (weapon)/Tourmaline(accessory)

Boss: Griffon

NOTE: Outside a specific strategy, avoid interrupting griffon, you'll get countered w/ Lull (all)

Note: It's easy to accidently pop a wish flower, but it's important to hold onto them until you need them.

This is a really tricky fight. I wish there was a more friendly version of the fight, but if you just go in and YOLO it, you're gonna have a bad time. The strategy explained below works pretty consistantly if executed properly, it does require paying attention to the ATB, so it can be fairly easy to make a mistake. [Hard to follow text, would recommend watching the fight]

Don't slow Griffon at start. Switch in Rubella & Norah

  • Rubella - Tumble (All)
  • Norah - Lull (All).

Start Slowing after Tumble. Stop slowing so that Griffon takes action before Rubella gets to Cast Bar. Resume slow after Griffon takes action. The goal is we want this tumble to interrupt everyone. If a banshee dodges, it'll likely be easier to reset the fight.

  • Switch out Rubella for Aurora - Starlight (All)
  • Norah - Quicken (All)
  • Norah - Unstoppable (Aurora)
  • Aurora - Starlight (All)
  • Switch out Norah for Finn - Lightning Strike (All)
  • Aurora - Starlight (All)

This requires some precise timing. We want to Griffon to get right to the cast bar as Finn finishes his cast. Depending on what action Griffon did for his first turn, the window can be really small. Generally, you are OK to keep slowing until Finn finishes his cast, and then stop slowing Griffon so Griffon can complete his action before Aurora's spell finishes casting. If you accidentally interrupt Griffon with Aurora here, you'll want to bring out Norah to re-apply Quicken on to Aurora and get two more casts of Starlight off. If you didn't interrupt Griffon, proceed below.

  • Switch Finn for Rubella - Tumble (All) [Should interrupt the banshees]
  • Switch Aurora for Finn > With Finn, switch Rubella for Aurora - Starlight (All)
  • With Finn, switch Aurora for Norah > With Norah, switch Finn for Aurora - Starlight (All)

Banshees should be dead now. Bring out Robert + Norah to deal physical damage

  • Norah - Petrify (Griffon)
  • Aurora switch for Robert - Hinder (Griffon)
  • Repeat

Can use Damage potion onto Robert (use with Griffon). Can also use MP potion onto Robert so that he is able to keep using Hinder.

If Robert runs out of MP, Rain Arrow.

Try to avoid Interrupt still. If you accidentally interrupt, you probably will have enough MP on Norah to counter with Quicken (All).

If Griffon revives a banshee

2x Starlight or Lightning Strike will kill

Hardest fight to learn. Once you get it down it's pretty consistent. The swapping in and out with Aurora is pretty neat.

You may need to pay attention to Aurora's HP, she is squishy and she can easily get focus targeted. You can heal her in small amounts with Igniculus. Keep in mind Gather Strength from Griffon will cause it to do an AoE attack that hits Aurora for ~80 hp

Highest of the High

Many cut scenes. Wow. Lose Norah. Get Oengus. Nothing really of note here. General movement tech applies. Don't bonk into spikes

  • Treasure

In between the two moving spikes is a lever chest off to the right. Contains Potent Healing Tonics, you'll want a bunch of these throughout the rest of the game.

  • Light Puzzle.

There is a slightly faster way to do this. If you activate the Igniculus switch and the lever with Aurora at the same time, you can save a few seconds.

  • Stardust

Magic Stardust “Outside” the tower off to the right

Oengus Skip

This is kinda similar to the Finn Skip, but it's had a few revisions. Oengus will leave your party. Go up and talk to him to trigger his Sidequest, he'll re-join your party. Leave the sidequest zone, he'll leave your party again. Go about halfway across the bridge ¤visual cue cross the second statue, and you should see the game save icon in the bottom right. Exit to the main menu. Reload game

Oengus should be back in your party and you're standing on the bridge still.

Pre-boss Menu

LEVEL UP

Everyone - Their Main Path

Oengus - “Taunt” Path (His main Path and won’t be getting points into other path)

STARDUST

  • Oengus - 2x Mdef, Def, Dodge
  • Aurora - Magic

OCULI

  • Aurora should still have on Onyx (and Tourmaline if you managed to craft one)

Boss: Cordelia / Crepusculum

General Notes [Note: Avoid Interrupting Cordelia, counters with Heal (All)]

Slow Cordelia @ Start, keep Cordelia slowed often, letting go only to avoid interrupting her.

Taunt lasts 3 turns, so count to 3, then re-taunt. In between those turns, Oengus should be healing himself, healing/MP Pot Aurora, Buffing Aurora. If you want to risk it, you can go for some Attacks onto Cordelia. Taunt & Healing Oengus takes priority. Oengus is very likely to be slowed throughout the whole fight, so be careful about using his turns wisely.

Cordelia has a very fast cast on all of her abilities, most of the time, it will be better for you to stop slowing with Igniculus so that Cordelia finishes her cast so you're not interrupting her. Requires a bit of practice.

Wraiths can use an AoE move called WHEEL OF DEATH. It has a very fast cast, you want to avoid having Aurora getting interrupted, but it sometimes can be difficult to avoid.

  • Switch in Oengus/Robert
  • Oengus - Taunt.
  • Robert - MDef Elixir (Oengus).
  • Robert - Hinder (All)
  • Oengus - Healing Tonic (self). If you don't need the heal, find something useful to do.
  • Switch in Robert for Aurora - Starlight (All) [repeat]
  • Oengus - Damage Elixir (Aurora) Might be tricky to fit in. Wraiths can interrupt often.

Remainder of the fight

  • Oengus - Re-Taunt when applicable > HP Tonic Self > MP Pot Aurora > Attack Cordelia > Defend (order of preference)
  • Aurora - Starlight (All) Till adds die.

[Note: Top Wraith has more HP than bot Wraith (1000 vs 900]

When Wraiths die:

  • Switch out Aurora for Robert > Hinder, Rain Arrows if out of MP. If Oengus is slowed, feel free to use a Quicken Elixir to remove slow from Oengus
  • Oengus > Cleave
  • Rinse & Repeat. Again, avoid interrupting Cordelia most of the time.

In the name of the moon ...

Piscean and the Ogre

Stardust

  • Speed Stardust - Before Village, hidden in rocks
  • Strength Stardust - Inside house, on right side

Treasure

  • 3x Tumbled Oculi - Inside house in the rafters
  • 3x Tumbled Oculi - Underneath the house, outside, in the water.
  • Damage Elixirs - Outside Village - On the same platform as Boar. If you have none at this point, you'll need to grab these for the next fight
  • Quicken Elixirs - Outside Village - Underneath the boar. (You probably have plenty at this point, but if you still need any)
  • Unstoppable (All) Elixirs - Inside tower. On the second level, on the ledge outside, behind the Skeleton Bird thing. (There are some guaranteed ones later on, but it's nice to have extra)

Light Puzzle

Start from the bottom and work your way up. Last one can be a little tricky, work on using a visual cue to assist you. Easiest to just watch a video of this.

Pre-boss Menu:

LEVEL UP

  • Everyone - Main Path

STARDUST

  • Oengus - Strength
  • Aurora - Speed

Boss: Giant Ogre

Technically these bosses dont have names outside your sisters & mother. We just call it what we call it. Note: DON'T INTERRUPT GIANT, Counters with Paralyze-Attack. It's possible to get softlocked here if he counterattacks you. So extra important not to interrupt it. Not 100% sure what causes it. Seemingly random. A character will be stuck at the start of their ATB unable to take a turn. Don’t slow @ Start. Start slowing after Hinder (All)

  • Robert/Oengus
  • Robert - Hinder (All) - Should be avoiding interrupts on the Ogre. Might end up interrupting a wolf, that is OK.
  • Oengus - Taunt
  • Switch Robert for Finn - Lightning Strike (All) [Repeat x3]
  • Oengus - Dmg Elixir (Finn)

Timing can be tight to avoid getting interrupted by Wolf. May need to slow Wolf slightly to avoid that situation. If you don't get the damage elixir off, it'll take another cast of Lightning Strike, which you may not have the MP for.

When wolves down

  • Switch Finn > Robert - Hinder (Ogre)
  • Oengus - Cleave (Ogre)
  • [repeat] If Oengus is slowed, can use Quicken Elixir to remove slow

Lowest of the Low

Stardust

  • MP Stardust - Above tunnel going down
  • Magic Stardust - Behind Waterfall after Crystal-area
  • Magic Def. Stardust- In Spikey Tunnel

After Cutscene w/ dad

Treasure & Stardust - Above fountain after cutscene.

  • MP Stardust
  • 6 Onyx - Chest very important

Pre-boss Menu

LEVEL UP

  • Everyone - Main

STARDUST

  • Finn - 2x MP
  • Aurora - Magic
  • Oengus - Mdef

OCULI CRAFT

  • 3x Tumbled Onyx = Faceted Onyx
  • 3x Tumbled Onyx = Faceted Onyx
  • Tumbled Onyx + Tumbled Diamond = Tumbled Spinel

OCULI EQUIP

  • Aurora - Faceted Onyx (weapon), Spinel (accessory)
  • Finn - Faceted Onyx (weapon) - [If you have Tourmaline - Equip on Access]

Boss: Sahagin

[Note: OK to Interrupt this boss, does not counter] Keep in mind with this fight you only have two Wish flowers. It can be difficult to manage Igniculus' bar. Try to use Igniculus sparingly

  • Robert/Oengus
  • Oengus - Taunt
  • Robert - Hinder (All)

Try to slow so that all 3 get interrupted. Switch to primarily slowing Sahagin after that

  • Oengus - Cleave (All)
  • Switch Robert for Aurora - Starlight (All) 2 should kill the Wraith enemy

Wraith dies. Safe Strat, keep Oengus out.

  • Aurora - Starlight (Golem) till it dies. Oengus can either interrupt Levi, heal himself, or Cleave the Golem

Golem Dies

  • Switch out Oengus for Finn - Lightning Strike [repeat]
  • Aurora - Elevate Damage (Finn)

At this point just keep Levi slowed just enough to get interrupted. Use Potent MP Potions on Finn with Aurora. If you ran out of Igniculus you can take out Rubella for easier interrupts while Finn does his thing. Other uses for Aurora is to use Quicken Elixir onto Finn, or Lull Elixir (if you have any) onto Levi.

Finale

Treasure

  • Potent Faery Nectar - Above the Lever. Optional if you're worried about the lats two fights.

Light Puzzle 1, 3, 2, 4 from the left.

Stardust

  • Magic - After double doors at the start of next section, towards bottom left.
  • Strength - After Gas Section - Tunnel going up during spikes, on left side.

Treasures

  • 3x Tumbled Oculi - Last treasure in the spike Tunnel.

  • 2x Unstoppable Elixir, 3x Revive, 4x Potent Faery Nectar these three right before Nox. Get them, they should be free and faery Nectars are useful.

Pre-Boss Menu

LEVEL UP Everyone - Main

Two Different Routes. One path uses a trick to Pause before Umbra (Pre-Umbra Pause). Speedwise, the paths are fairly close, but on my own runs, it seems like PreUmbraPause Strats are slightly slow, but it's a very minor time difference. Doing PreUmbraPause does make both Nox & Umbra fights slightly easier, so it may help if you're just learning. The fights themselves don't change really, so it's just the Oculi that you have equipped.

[PreUmbraPause]

You'll want to have collected a high level Emerald, preferably a Faceted Emerald to equip in Oengus' weapon. You'll also want to have some Sapphires to equip on Robert & Oengus' Armor slot. Oengus - Faceted Emerald (weapon), Sapphire (armor) Robert - Sapphire (armor)

[Non-PreUmbraPause]

Makes the next two fights slightly harder, but going to be slightly faster, due to not having to perform the trick, as well as less menuing.

Oculi

  • Oengus - Faceted Citrine (weapon) We get this from Levi, so it's guarenteed
  • [If you have spare Tourmaline - equip on Oengus Armor]
  • [If you have spare Sapphire - equip on Robert Armor]

Boss: Nox

[Note: Somewhat OK to interrupt, but still try to avoid, counts with Unstoppable All]

  • Oengus/Robert
  • Oengus - Taunt
  • Robert - Unstoppable Elixir (All)
  • Oengus - Cleave (All) [repeat]
  • Robert - Hinder (All) [repeat]
  • Keep Oengus Alive, with Robert preferably.

Nox should hopefully Gather Strength in the first few turns. You don't need to focus on slowing TOO much until Nox Gathers Strength. Manage Igniculus so that you can constantly slow when Nox is in this phase

When Tentacles Down (and hopefully after Nox Gathered Strength)

  • Switch to Aurora/Finn
  • Aurora - Elevate Damage (Finn), Quicken Elixir (Finn), Keep Finn’s MP full with Full MP Potion. [Starlight if you've got nothing else to do]
  • Finn - Lightning Strike (Nox) [Repeat]

Final Finale

[PreUmbraPause ONLY]

During the cut scene you'll reach a point where Robert & Margret have a conversation. Quit out of the game (Alt+F4). When you load the game back up, the game will resume at the start of the conversation. As soon as the conversation ends, you'll be able to pause Be quick!

LevelUp

Oengus & Robert - Level up (Cleave & Hinder All) Oculi Oengus - Facted Citrine (Weapon), Tourmaline (Armor) Combine those Sapphires & Emeralds to make whatever Tourmalines you need [End PreUmbraPause]

Umbra Fight

[Note: Ok to Interrupt]

the birds have a move called Prey which is really annoying. Aoe & a knockback. "Pray for no prey"

  • Robert/Oengus
  • Robert - Unstoppable Potion (All), Oengus - Taunt
  • Robert - Hinder (All)
  • Oengus - Cleave (All) [repeat]
  • Switch Robert for Aurora - Elevate Damage (Oengus)
  • Switch Aurora for Robert - Hinder (All)

Oengus takes a load of damage in this fight. Above strat does not account for when you'll need to heal him. Preferably you will want to heal him with Robert or Aurora - but there are times where Oengus will need to heal himself. If you ran out of Potent Healing Tonics - you should still have Potent Faery Nectars.

When JerkBirds are dead

  • Switch Robert for Aurora - Elevate Damage (Aurora)
  • then: Starlight [repeat]
  • if Oengus still has Elevate Damage active - keep him in. If it runs out, switch him for Finn and Lightning. If you're scared & aren't confident in keeping Umbra interrupted - feel free to keep him out & taunt.

If Umbra revives one of her birds Either Ignore and go for the kill (Fight ends if Umbra dies) or Oengus - Cleave (All) a few times

Game ends when screen fades to white after the fight with Umbra
