Uppercuts can be used to disarm enemies, and can be used to knock enemies off of stages if done right. It is very helpful if there are groups of enemies chasing you, as the attack will hit all enemies that touch your fist. On the stage "Grave Situation" you can knock zombies into the pit if you time the uppercut right, but this can be difficult if the zombies are wielding weapons that make them heavier (such as the cannon).
