I'm sorry that you want to do this. This is a bad life choice, but I'm sure it'll be funny.

While this is indeed created for the purpose of speedrunning, expect flippancy, whimsy, and general silliness.

ABOUT THIS GAME:

This is an early 3D golf game for both MS-DOS, and the Commodore Amiga. At present, only Amiga systems have been considered, but MS-DOS will be included if the need arises. As the title indicates, this is only volume one (1) in an extensive collection of... one (1). This is the only one in the series that was ever made before the developers ceased to exist. Probably because it's bad.

As this game was created for home computers from the late the 1980s, the computing power available was overwhelmingly low by today's standards. Because of this, the game operates very strangely in an effort to accommodate this power restriction. In addition, because there weren't many other 3D golf games at the time, how one was supposed to be made and interacted with was not well understood. Because of this, the game experience is more like operating a municipal power plant than playing a video game.

ABOUT SPEEDRUN CATEGORIES:

How this game performs, and behaves during play, varies between make and model of computer. Because of this, the game has been split into 2 main categories, with 3 sub categories, and two variables.

The two main categories are:
- Virtual Machine (VM): An emulated computer capable of playing the game
- Physical Machine (PM): A physical, honest to goodness computer capable of directly executing the game's code

The three sub categories are:
- [X]M: Standard run for that category, rules are in place on how to configure your VM, or how to document and submit your run based on the computer you used to perform the run
- [X]M-TAS: A TAS run for that category. Base rules apply, but TAS may be used
- [X]M-NHB: A section where anything goes so long as you document it, and follow the main rules. Faking the run is not permitted in this section and is generally considered bad sportsmanship.

Included are two variables:
- Computer model: The exact model of computer being used for the run
- CPU model: As some models of Amiga were shipped with different CPUs, the installed CPU must be identified.

GETTING STARTED:

To get started, you'll need the following:

- A copy of "CHAMPIONSHIP GOLF: THE GREAT COURSES OF THE WORLD VOLUME 1: PEBBLE BEACH". Preferably as an ADF file, the standard file format for Amiga floppy disk images. (It doesn't matter where you get it, but we can't tell you where.)
1. If running on an Amiga emulator:
	1.1. Notes and/or screenshots on the emulator's configuration.
2. If running on a physical Amiga:
	2.1. Notes and/or screenshots from Sysinfo when run on the Amiga used for the speedrun
	2.2. The Amiga's model
	2.3. The Amiga's CPU
3. Some means to record the video and audio.
4. General disregard for your mental health
5. (OPTIONAL, makes admin's life easier) Some means to document your time alongside the captured video.
