how to install a version before patch 1.9.3

# Opening the Steam console

First of all, you need to open the Steam console. press the Windows key + R to open the run menu, and copy the following text: "**steam://open/console**" and press enter. This should take you to Steam, with the console open.

# Getting the Manifest ID

Go to the following link: "https://steamdb.info/depot/1586291/manifests/" and click the copy button next to the manifest ID, I personally use the one released on June 27th 2023. Just paste what you copied into the Steam console, and press enter.

# Playing the older version

After pressing enter, it should take a minute then it installs. After it does, go to (Steam Folder) > steamapps > content > app_1586290 > depot_(depot you installed). You may need to copy over some files from regular Carnal, just don't replace any of the files in the older version. If you want to open this version through Steam, just delete all the files in the normal version, and copy the files from the old version into the folder.
