It would be fantastic if an emulator version of most categories could be added to BOTW speedrunning. Why isn't it already?

Yes please, my first ever run in my life got rejected just because i was on emu( please i wanna run this game!!

This question has come up many times before and the answer is that emulators are still too inaccurate for this game to be accepted to the leaderboards in any way. Unlike older games on emulators that work almost identically to when played on console, there is too much variation in factors such as loads and other small things.

There is nothing stopping you running this game on emulators, we just won't be accepting those runs to the leaderboards

but man, game still stops if you doing bomb launch, theres no difference at all

No, there's a good reason emulators are banned and it's not getting changed just so one person can run this game on emulator.

The most of users don't even know how to emulate Zelda

1. Mods said it isn't going to get added.
2. Edit your forum posts and don't post two back-to-back posts.
3. The more you beg, the more you're annoying everyone else and the more pathetic and suspicious you look.
4. If you want to run the game, run it, but don't post it on leaderboards if you're using an emulator.
5. No matter how much you debate this, the mods won't change their mind.
6. This has been debated many times, as stated by @CephlaCephla, and emulators will probably only get added when they become as accurate as consoles. If you're going to say they're just as accurate, that statement is false, there are many differences.

@CyanWesCyanWes this thread is not my, i went here just like you, im not begging, i asked once and said what i think, that's it tho, i set my time, it's not great but, it would be cool to see it in my page, this is the whole reason i just love to collect numbers

forgot to follow up xD. Thanks for the reply @CephlaCephla. Didn't think that emulators were so unstable that even separate categories aren't possible... would think something like Cemu is stable enough. RIP

@CephlaCephla I see where you're coming from, but if there was a separate category labeled "Emulator" it would essentially transfer the "problem" of loading times to the runners in said category. If you think about it, having a different PC changes run times for other games, such as Minecraft. If you have a God PC vs. a trash PC, the loading times in Minecraft would be different, it's just stats.
