About the Level Leaderboard rules?

Hey there, today I wanted to do a speedrun of Keive Tala. I realised that I already done this shrine so it was not "completely untouched" (monk not there) anymore. Now I would have to create a new save file and get to this shrine again just to fullfill the "completely untouched" condition. Is this rule really meaningful because I dont see a difference in timing. Can someone explain me the concept/idea of this rule because for me it dont makes sense. Thanks :)

I believe the idea is that some doors/chests will already be opened/unlocked. I understand the concept though,

"If I'm not doing 100% why do I need to worry about if the chest is already open?" "If this dungeon has no moving/unlockable parts, than why not since it's identical either way?"

The idea is to keep the playing field level for everybody I suppose, and minimize the amount of "but what if..."s
