There are 4 new keypad codes that have been discovered. 2 of them are interesting to campaign speedrunners:
- CAMPFIRE This code will set the "highestMapReached" stat to 30. This is significant when playing Black Ops and New World in NG, because now, the player would spawn with their custom loadout and DNI like in NG+.
- GOTITALL This code unlocks and upgrades all cybercore abilities automatically.
Ngl, the CAMPFIRE code is def pretty wild. Didn't realize how bad that keypad menu really was until now. I am definitely considering either a rule change where I ban the keypad menu on NG or just making a new category that bans the keypad menu but allows every other glitch. What do y'all think I should do?
True, I was thinking that I could add one in the category extensions or something like that which allows every code to be used. I was testing out the codes and realized that "GOTITALL" also labels all missions complete so it technically beats the game for you in 0 seconds.
Just going to add a message for everyone; There was a poll on the CoD Speedrunning discord where I asked which decision should be made. So far, the most voted option was to keep NG the way it is (allow MANIFEST but ban all other codes). So I added to the general rules list that MANIFEST is allowed but not the other codes. I'm thinking that if almost all of the runners that have used the keypad on NG gets a new PB without the keypad then I will probably ban the keypad entirely and move the runs that use it to a category that allows it. I recommend that any new runner planning on doing NG to not use the keypad. Doing a run without the keypad will go almost the exact same way, it's just that you will have to unlock and upgrade the tac-rigs and cybercores after New World.
