**BEGINNER (two-cycle)** - the easy method is two-cycle, where a cycle is measured by the phase where he chomps on the edge of the platform, since that's the phase where you're meant to wail on him.  The easy method is very safe and doesn't go for any early hits. Dodge his attacks with high jumps and spam him when he chomps on the platform. You can get three hits per cycle, so if you do this correctly, he'll die on the second hit on the second cycle.

**INTERMEDIATE (one-cycle)** - the intermediate method is one-cycle. There are three opportunities to hit him before the first cycle, called "early hits" in this guide. The first opportunity is when he does his initial dive. If you step a pace away from him you can hit him as he jumps into the water. The second opportunity is when he does his slide across the platform. Stand in his way, attack a little ahead of him and take his hit. The third opportunity is when he does his helicopter attack in the air. A basic jump will let you hit him. Any two of these will get you a one-cycle fight, but getting more than two will end the fight even faster. 

**ADVANCED (zero-cycle)** - If you've got the 3 early hit intermediate down-pat, the advanced isn't all that difficult. If you're on-point with your jumps it's possible to get two regular hits during his helicopter attack, bringing you up to 4 total early hits and bringing you down to one remaining hit for the one-cycle. However, we can do better. If you charge a spin and hold it right after his sliding attack, and unleash that when he goes into his helicopter attack, you'll have time left to get an additional two regular attacks, bringing you to 5 total early hits and ending the fight before the first cycle.
