In my opinion the Leaderboards need a Sub-categories for "Warehouseless" Runs. I feel that the current WR for 1-10 is hard to beat, not only because of the execution of the run, but also because of the Items preplaced in the Warehouse. This makes it even more difficult to run this game, since you have to (in theory) get a maxed Weapon, exp buffs (and maybe even horses) on another character just to have a decent time compared to the WR. Since the Rules are already very meek, you might as well get a party to quickly kill mobs for you. To sum it up, I'd suggest to add Rules preventing use of Items from another character or add a Sub-Category specifically for Item Transferless Runs. PS: This might sound like I'm jealous for loosing WR, but I really just want to have an easier time running this already non popular Speedgame. The 1 Day Deletion Period is already a burden, so allowing the use of say..... max kzarka weapons is an even greater burden/barrier to running this game.

I 100% agree with you Lippielip. This is exactly what I was after, to show everyone that there are pretty much endless possibilities on how to speedrun this game without proper rules. For example, you could have let's say 10 of your friends each gather a nice bundle of enemies for you before hand, making it much quicker to kill them while they are in a bunch and not scattered. I don't know much about horses in this game yet and I don't remember if you can summon a horse with one character, leave it somewhere and use it on another character. Anyone could easily beat my time with a maxed horse for example, not to mention better gear / items / buffs etc. And of course there are the occasional bonus EXP events. Like I said, the possiblities are endless. So yeah, let's figure out some dank rules and have some fun. :D

Sure thing! I'd gladly help moderate the site. Secondly I'm happy that you two responded so quickly ^^. I had the hope that the game could take off as an active run game, so seeing you two being active after posting your runs made me really happy, since we're basically laying the foundation for the BDO Speedrun community. Now then... regarding the rules, I believe an open category allowing everything should still exist (any% maybe?), but the more important thing is having a category that can be run the moment you get the game, otherwise the time and effort needed to run the game would be too high. People that want to run the game would be scared off. So if the goal is to have a category that can be run the moment you get the game, then an easy rule would be New-game only, meaning only items/pets/horses aquired by the current character are allowed to be used(this has less of an impact on 1-10, but imagine having 1-50 runs with full gear instead of nothing). Another rule could be Solo only, preventing faster times, but also making it yet again easier for people who want to run the game, since you're not required to have friends that own the game. For people that want to run with friends, there could be co-op a category. Now about the EXP events, I think the 10% Buff is negligable in a 1-10 run, since the amount of extra exp you earn boils down to 1-10 EXP(per Mob) and only matters if you have like Lvl 10 and 1% EXP at the end(I believe.... I'm not too sure). 1-50 is another story again since overtime, especially at like lvl 49, 10% mean alot. I think that's it :D. Any other Rules would probably be too specific and could get another sub-category instead. Give me your opinion! I have no problem with being proven wrong. :P

A category that allows any and everything is definately something we should have, without a doubt. I think it's the most important one. You get to see just how fast its humanly possible to complete a game/category, taking advantage of every possible mechanic that's in the game. We could also have categories/sub-categories for each class, maybe? I can see people wanting to compete with their favorite class. Btw, what do you guys think, should we create a "bdo speedrun" Discord server? Since there's no way to private message on this site at the moment, I think it'd be a great idea.

P.S. I'm also up for the task of Moderator, of course! :P

I agree, but I think categories for each class are something for the distant future should the game get popular. Having empty Leaderboards isn't really the goal we should strive for. On a side note, I think a bdo Discord server would be cool, but I'm not up for the task, as I'm already busy managing my own server.
