General Information:

• The Xbox version of the game has the best controls, load times and performance.
• Xbox and PlayStation 2 have issues with surround sound and sound in general.
• GameCube and PlayStation 2 are equal, but have worse load times and performance.
• GameCube is very unstable and known to crash alot. The best example is the infamous "loud noise crash".
• PAL versions of the game have an altered inventory which is smaller and resized due to the length of some words in other languages.
• PAL PlayStation 2 (Version 2.01) and the Wii version have a unique feature, that lets you multiswap abilities instead of closing the menu once you select a slot.

The PAL PlayStation 2 version has a 1.00 variant, that has quite a few differences. 2.01 is the build released in United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, and France. However, France and the Netherlands have a 1.00 version scattered throughout its releases. Here is a #1 Disc (1.00), #2 Disc (2.01) and a #3 Disc (2.01). #3 is equal to #2 and can only be found in German releases. The ones with no number (#1) are 1.00.

The developers of the ports made a huge mistake in taking the 1.00 build of the game to work off of instead of the finished 2.01 build. Only PAL PlayStation 2 (#2, #3) and the Wii versions are 2.01. The rest are built off of 1.00 and therefor have more glitches present and features missing.

There also is a French and English promo Version. The French variant is 1.00 and the English variant is 2.01.

Here is a video about some the version differences found within days of obtaining it. It is however very outdated.

This is the global hub, where generally anything can be found. From advertisements, to all images of real copies of all releases, to dumps of the games.

We don't recommend the Wii version because:

• Your abilities are bound to motion controls.
• Your movement speed is slower if walking diagonally.
• A motion control minigame that replaces the focus minigame.
• Less keybinds due to the lack of buttons on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
• Lots of glitches fixed due to the Wii Version being built off of the PlayStation 2 2.01 build.

The community and I personally, strongly recommend the Xbox version over any other, because of its extremely fast loads, amazing performance and almost flawless controls.

We recommend the GameCube version on Dolphin Emulator for testing, as it plays almost identical to the Xbox version. Tons of SaveGames and SaveStates for specific tricks can be found here.
