Bellingham logging viewpoint to Brownsville border viewpoint.

I've done this a few times with a few rules to make it more interesting and competitive.

Any truck is allowed but you must take a 45 foot dry van with you for the whole distance. The aim is for speed and precision so for every % of damage your trailer takes you have 15 seconds added to your time. I've finished with 15% and 19% damage the two times I've tried for a 225s and 285s penalty respectively. I think this adds a good element of strategy, do you go all out or play it safe. Open to the penalty time being tweaked to balance out speed v precision.

No service (or a penalty for it). Lost my 2nd run to this. Fatigue and road rules off, fuel consumption on. Proper strategic fuelling is important.

I haven't recorded a run yet as my computer struggles to play and record without crashing, but if someone wants to try this and record a run go ahead. Happy with any feedback.

Managed to have my PC hold together long enough for a run.

Bellingham logging view point to Brownsville spaceport view point in 1h 47m 06s. Had 20% trailer damage to add 5 minutes to the time, so 1h 52m 06s. I also repaired the truck itself 2 or 3 times in the run, and an emergency refuel but this was more a proof of concept run.

An interesting idea. For the delivery challenge runs in ETS2 the load must be undamaged rather than applying time penalties, which I would prefer - any damage and you reset. I feel if you are wanting to perform a delivery challenge, then that should be part of it.

Not allowing services though seems irrational. Realistic fuel consumption makes little sense if you are turning off fatigue or road rules - either you are doing it as a simulation, or an arcade run, it seems strange to do it half-and-half.

My main question though is what makes this route (Bellingham to Brownsville) special?
