i cant believe we had not thought of this, speedruning different levels. for example, speedrunning Raytrace Ruins, or orbital obsticales, or Memory Meadow. we can do these in Any% and 100%. what do you think?

This is actually a pretty good idea. We could make them as IL or as a full category speedrunning each part of a level. I’ll speak with mik about this.

I feel like they're a little too short to be truly interesting to run for me. It would also create substantially more work for the mods to basically time every IG level submission 5 times, for little gain (at least that's how it seems).

Though verifying runs is like cocaine for Light so idk, maybe he'll love it

how about this, time starts on the first frame astros shadow appears when you warp there (like Parcour%) and time ends on the first frame the text for the next level appears. if the level is at the end, for example Mt.Motherboard, the time ends when you pull the wire for the console (like Ils Any%)

Miksuwaaan’s words: we did talk about adding such categories in the past, but it never seemed to gather any real interest. If I recall we talked about possibly adding the individual stage ILs as categories if the main game ILs ended up having a large active playerbase, but they never really took off. There's also stages such as Bot Beach, which wouldn't make for the best speedruns as not a lot happens in them. I am not completely opposed to the idea, but as of right now I don't think it's something that has to be added
