Let's have all the different tricks use in the game that help to save time. We might exclude some shortcut that are quite obvious and focus on the difficult one that might need some explaination

# 2-3 Bat Skip

This is hard because it relies on the bat RNG

# 4-1 Bat Skip

Quite simple, the bat RNG is not too punishing. you just need to wait for the bat to be in the middle of the speed jump butt it. If the bat is too low or disappear, there is a backup: the mud skip:

if you stay in the middle, you will still have the mud physics and you are not to far to jump above the wall

# 7-1 Tornado Skip

as Nov 4, 2024, there is a way to get it consistently without stop or manipulating the screen scroll

hold right the all time, after jumping the first tornado you do 1 punch then quickly jump the second tornado and jump at the edge (long jump)

# 7-2 Mummies Skip

it's a bit precise, you do a big jump after transitioning to the next screen from the pipe. mashing doesn't work because you need to hold long enough for the jump to be high enough.



# 5-3 Wall Jump

The first it was discovered ([HERE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhUUpTtmdRc&t=235s)), it was a wall jump. to jump over this falling wall, you need to be at one spot above this wall before it starts falling. if you get too much inside you will get kill, but if you have few pixels in, you will be hold like a platform can you can jump again

# [TAS Only] 2-3 Ladder Glitch

⚠️ As, Nov 2024, LEFT+RIGHT at the same time is not allow in the run, it's only for TAS ⚠️

Pressing Left+Right on a ladder will teleport you to the top, it works with both asterix and obelix. if hold long enough it will scroll the screen to the right, but you might end up dying by falling.
