Hi. I want make for ARK Suvival Evolved 3 speedrun category:

  1. "Speedrun ARKs"

Task: Complete the game as fast as possible by defeating final boss (bosses).

Maps: The Island (Official DLC). Task: defeat the Overseer. Scorched Earth (Official DLC). Task: defeat the Manticore. Aberration (Official DLC). Task: defeat the Rockwell. Extinction (Official DLC). Task: defeat the Titan King. Genesis: Part 1 (Official DLC). Task: defeat the Corrupted Master Controller. The Center. Task: defeat final bosses. Ragnarock. Task: defeat final bosses. Valguero. Task: defeat final bosses. ISO: Crystal Isles. Task: defeat final boss (bosses). That is not official map and i do not played on this and do not know what are final bosses and its count. Crystal Isles will initially launch for PC on June the 4th.

Subcategories: Easy mod with boosted settings. Default mode (x1 harvesting, x2 taming).

There need to add "Genesis: Part 1" (now) and "ISO: Crystal Isles" (on June the 4th)!

  1. "King of the beasts"

Task: Tame or hatch each tamable creature as fast as possible. The run ends when the last creature is tamed and no one tamed creature died.

Subcategories: Easy mod with boosted settings. Default mode (x1 harvesting, x2 taming).

I do not know whether to add titans to the lists (Titanosaus, Desert, Forest and Ice Titans)

List of creatures for "The Island" (87 total): Achatina Allosaurus Ankylosaurus Anglerfish Araneo Archaeopteryx Argentavis Arthropluera Baryonyx Basilosaurus Beelzebufo Brontosaurus Carbonemys Carnotaurus Castoroides Compy Daeodon Dilophosaur Dimetrodon Dimorphodon Diplocaulus Diplodocus Dire Bear Direwolf Dodo Doedicurus Dung Beetle Dunkleosteus Electrophorus Equus or Unicorn Gallimimus Giant Bee Giganotosaurus Gigantopithecus Hesperornis Hyaenodon Ichthyosaurus Ichthyornis Iguanodon Kairuku Kaprosuchus Kentrosaurus Lystrosaurus Mammoth Manta Megalania Megaloceros Megalodon Megalosaurus Megatherium Mesopithecus Microraptor Mosasaurus Moschops Onyc Otter Oviraptor Ovis Pachy Pachyrhinosaurus Paraceratherium Parasaur or Tek Parasaur Pegomastax Pelagornis Phiomia Plesiosaur Procoptodon Pteranodon Pulmonoscorpius Purlovia Quetzal or Tek Quetzal Raptor or Tek Raptor Rex or Tek Rex Sabertooth Sarco Spino Stegosaurus or Tek Stegosaurus Tapejara Terror Bird Therizinosaur Thylacoleo Titanoboa Triceratops Troodon Tusoteuthis Woolly Rhino Yutyrannus

The following creatures are not in the list: Chalicotherium, because taming requires beer, which takes 6 hours (I think it's silly to wait 6 hours. However, I still don’t know how long the entire taming. If it is possible to tame all that creatures less then 6 hours, then chalicotherium leave the list) Coelacanth, because taming requires fish basket, that you can craft only on Aberration (On this map you can not learn this engramm and no way can get it) Leech or Diseased Leech, because taming requires fish basket Liopleurodon, because it is a temporary tame, it will stay tamed for 30 minutes. At the end of the 30 minutes, the liopleurodon disappears Piranha, because taming requires fish basket Sabertooth Salmon, because taming requires fish basket Titanosaur, because this creature is tamed for a while Trilobite, because taming requires fish basket

List of creatures for "Scorched Earth" (50 total): Fire Wyvern or Lightning Wyvern or Poison Wyvern Jerboa Lymantria Mantis Morellatops Rock Elemental Phoenix Thorny Dragon Vulture Achatina Ankylosaurus Araneo Archaeopteryx Argentavis Arthropluera Carnotaurus Daeodon Direwolf Doedicurus Dung Beetle Equus Gallimimus Giant Bee Hyaenodon Iguanodon Kaprosuchus Kentrosaurus Lystrosaurus Megalania Megalosaurus Megatherium Microraptor Moschops Onyc Ovis Paraceratherium Parasaur or Tek Parasaur Pegomastax Procoptodon Pulmonoscorpius Purlovia Raptor or Tek Raptor Rex or Tek Rex Sabertooth Tapejara Terror Bird Titanoboa Troodon Thylacoleo Yutyrannus

The following creatures are not in the list: Coelacanth, because taming requires fish basket, that you can craft only on Aberration (On this map you can not learn this engramm and no way can get it) Titanosaur, because this creature is tamed for a while

List of creatures for "Aberration" (51 total): Basilisk Bulbdog Featherlight Glowtail Karkinos Lamprey Ravager Reaper Rock Drake Roll Rat Seeker Shinehorn Aberrant Achatina Aberrant Anglerfish Aberrant Ankylosaurus Aberrant Arthropluera Aberrant Baryonyx Aberrant Beelzebufo Aberrant Carnotaurus Aberrant Dimetrodon Aberrant Dung Beetle Aberrant Electrophorus Aberrant Pulmonoscorpius Aberrant Spinosaur Aberrant Carbonemys Aberrant Coelacanth Aberrant Direbear Aberrant Diplocaulus Aberrant Dodo Aberrant Doedicurus Aberrant Equus Aberrant Gigantopithecus Aberrant Iguanodon Aberrant Lystrosaurus Aberrant Manta Aberrant Megalosaurus Aberrant Moschops Aberrant Otter Aberrant Ovis Aberrant Paraceratherium Aberrant Parasaur or Tek Parasaur Aberrant Piranha Aberrant Raptor or Tek Raptor Aberrant Salmon Aberrant Sarco Aberrant Stegosaurus or Tek Stegosaurus Aberrant Titanoboa Aberrant Triceratops Aberrant Trilobite Aberrant Purlovia Giant Bee

The following creatures are not in the list: Aberrant Araneo, because it spawn very rarely Aberrant Dimorphodon, because it spawn very rarely Aberrant Megalania, because it can not spawn

List of creatures for "Extinction" (84 total): Enforcer Gacha Gasbags Managarmr Scout Snow Owl Velonasaur Achatina Allosaurus Ankylosaurus Araneo Archaeopteryx Argentavis Arthropluera Baryonyx Beelzebufo Brontosaurus Carbonemys Carnotaurus Castoroides Compy Daeodon Dilophosaur Dimetrodon Dimorphodon Diplodocus Dire Bear Direwolf Dodo Doedicurus Dung Beetle Equus Gallimimus Giant Bee Giganotosaurus Hesperornis Hyaenodon Ichthyornis Iguanodon Kairuku Kaprosuchus Kentrosaurus Lymantria Lystrosaurus Mammoth Megalania Megaloceros Megalosaurus Megatherium Mesopithecus Microraptor Morellatops Moschops Onyc Otter Oviraptor Ovis Pachy Pachyrhinosaurus Paraceratherium Parasaur or Tek Parasaur Phiomia Procoptodon Pteranodon Pulmonoscorpius Purlovia Quetzal or Tek Quetzal Raptor or Tek Raptor Rex or Tek Rex Rock Elemental Sabertooth Sarco Spino Stegosaurus or Tek Stegosaurus Tapejara Terror Bird Therizinosaur Thorny Dragon Thylacoleo Titanoboa Triceratops Troodon Woolly Rhino Yutyrannus

The following creatures are not in the list: Desert Titan, because this creature is tamed for a while (it also requires 100 corrupted hearts, it is worth) Forest Titan, because this creature is tamed for a while (it also requires 100 corrupted hearts, it is worth) Ice Titan, because this creature is tamed for a while (it also requires 100 corrupted hearts, it is worth) Chalicotherium, because taming requires beer, which takes 6 hours Coelacanth, because taming requires fish basket, that you can craft only on Aberration (On this map you can not learn this engramm and no way can get it) Mantis, because you can not get deathworm horn on Extinction Mek, because you need craft Tek Replicator and Unassembled Mek, it requires not so much resources but it is worth (it also requires 100 corrupted hearts and killing one of the titan) Piranha, because taming requires fish basket Sabertooth Salmon, because taming requires fish basket

List of creatures for "Genesis: Part 1" is not ready because I do not know at all whether this will be read by anyone ...

  1. "Notes run"

Task: Find all explorer notes in the game as fast as possible (Excluding bosses and arenas).

Maps: The Island (Official DLC). There are 229 explorer notes. 4 in Tek Cave or ascension area. Total need find 225 explorer notes. Scorched Earth (Official DLC). There are 140 explorer notes. 1 in Manticore Arena. Total need find 139 explorer notes. Aberration (Official DLC). There are 159 explorer notes. 1 in Rockwell Arena. Total need find 158 explorer notes. Several notes are on the surface. Extinction (Official DLC). There are 164 explorer notes. Total need find 164 explorer notes.

Other maps do not have any explorer notes.

Subcategories: Easy mod with boosted settings. Default mode (x1 harvesting, x2 taming).

I like these ideas, but I do have some notes.

I'm thinking the default should definitely be somewhere like that, but I think the category should be added really if it's proven one can beat at least the Island with those stats. But other than that your default ARK runs look great my guy.

The King of the Beasts category sounds dope, ngl. But there are SOME issues with some the creature taming methods, similar to the Chalicotherium. All creatures will be listed here. Achatina - Requires sweet vegetable cakes, which require veggies. Vegetables with default settings (crop growth can be turned up), require about a full real life day to reach maximum maturity. This could be sped up by using greenhouse structures (300% greenhouse speeds up the growth process by 4x) but even with that it's a bit random and could take up to 6 hours. So really, anything that requires crops are out of the picture. Ovis - Same issue as the achatina. These guys require sweet veggie cakes which are impossible to make given crop growth time. Wyvern - At default settings it takes 5 hours to incubate these guys. That will take a while and I'm not sure it's a good one to add unless the default also includes a hatching rate increase. Phoenix - It's technically tameable in the base game. But finding them requires you to search during a super heat, which don't happen often, or last long either. And once you find one you gotta find a way to keep it confined. The only way I see getting out of that is to use a tapejara to fly with a weapon in hand. But let's say you're lucky enough to find a Lvl 1 it'll take a whole 255 flame arrows according to dododex at 2x tame speed. And might I remind you if you were to find a Lvl 36 (max) it'll take 679. They just seem WAY too rng reliant and I'm not sure they can be considered for that reason. Rock Elemental - There's really no issue with taming these guys. My only problem is their knockout method, but this can be easily glossed over. Reaper - With default stats a reaper takes 12 hours to estate. That's obviously an issue, similar to the wyvern. Seeker - Untameable Rock Drake - Same issue with wyverns and reapers, except it's a 6 hour incubation time. Enforcer and Scout - I get that these are considered tames, but they aren't creatures. I'm not sure tek "animals" should count towards the final goal of "King of the Beasts" but that's really down to preference. Plus the mek is already a no, so why not add the rest of the robots? A simple fix for a large amount of these creatures would be to increase hatching rates for default as well as easy mode. Nothing too big, but nothing that'll take more than an hour I think. But again, down to preference.

I would love to see a good notes run, I almost completely agree with all the rules you gave. My only idea is that maybe the ones in arenas shouldn't be excluded but it's probably a good idea to not count those.

And lastly, we're not entirely sure what Crystal Isles will bring us, but if it all works out fine then I would be down to run the map. The cave design is very creative but they don't have an arena of their own which is what concerns me. But other than that I see no issue with having a Crystal Isles run category.

These are really great ideas that I would love to see come into play in the future. An interesting idea would be to add a 100% category where you have to beat all the bosses/final boss as well as collect all the explorer notes. That would be fairly difficult but I feel like conjoining the 2 can make something very interesting. Thank you to whoever you are who actually sat down and read this.

Thank you for answer.

As a maniac, I added creatures and forgot about the pregnancy of the ripper and the hatching of drakes and wyverns. x5 servers so easy :) My eyes were drunk.

I tested that 2x2x2 greenhouse crop plots grows time is 2 real life hours. That mean you can replace greenhouse on first-second hour of run. I tested it on Island default settings run (For island speedran on default settings, vegetables are needed. And it's all real get.). I can get cakes and vegetables (over 20 on each crop plot on 4 hours ... and 1 fertilizer for that). 1 lvl Achatina required 3 cakes, 15 lvl Achatina required 5 cakes. Not so hard. Ovis 1 cake. Equus the same not hard ... more crop plots with rockarrot. You can stuck large crop plots as tower.

We need banned following creatures from all lists:

  1. Wyverns (Maybe need only steal the egg ...?)
  2. Rock drakes (Maybe need only steal the egg ...?)
  3. Reaper (BUT ! I thought and concluded that you can only get pregnant)
  4. Phoenix - Random. Very random.
  5. Seeker ... oh crap ... never tried to tame them. All robots:
  6. Enforcer
  7. Scout 8 ) Mek Maybe:
  8. Ovis
  9. Achatina
  10. Equus

I think it’s enough to remove all of them and not increase hatch rates.

Now i have no enough time to run Island in default settings, but i have full strat. I hope to be free soon and complete run.

Very fun speedrun Aberation ... on foots vs Rockwell ... i will show my the strat later.

Cool, but I don't think completely banning the hatching creatures is what should be done. Hatch speed isn't gonna do much else for you except for making wyverns, drakes, and reapers more manageable, so I think it's fine with that being allowed. With the full greenhouse it is 2 hours sure, but you gotta account for the fact people aren't gonna have a ton of metal, crystal, and paste towards the beginning of the game. Which is why I found it to be an issue, but if you're willing to spend a ton of time on it I don't see why not. Equus are fine, you don't NEED carrots to tame them, it only makes things 50,000,000 times easier. But if you insist that's fine. The rest I can see removing. Thanks for the reply.

I do not like the idea of farm resources for a greenhouse, I just looked at my speedrun Island and decided to add. The equus, achatina and ovis can be removed, because there are 3 of them and this is a tiny part of the entire fauna.

Will there good chance for megalosaurus spawn in the Island?

Phoenix, AZ, USA

They mainly spawn in caves and sometimes there are none. But it if you were to check all the caves you're bound to find AT LEAST 1
