What if you bounce off Cappy midair, then on the frame that you land, you jump. Maybe that will count as you jumping, idk. This might come out n handy in min caps.
Not quite sure what you mean, but I know there was some recently discovered water tech that allowed you to do infinite cap throw dives
I don't think Cappy is counted as ground, so it probably wouldn't work.
Oh. Just thought that you could fake a Cappy return jump and skip the spark pylon in Ruined to get a grand total of 2 required captures. We’ll see if an emulator or TAS comes out, then we can proof test this theory.
Oh, you're talking about jumping off of cappy so it doesnt count as a cappy bounce? Clever idea, but might not be possible for humans
Jumping on the frame you land after a cap bounce doesn’t do anything like that
"We'll see if an emulator or TAS comes out" Both of those exist already lmao
adding onto what toby said jumping the first frame you touch the ground after a cap bounce just makes you unable to cap bounce
@SuperMarioGuy4, if a TAS exists for SMO, why is there a BTT and not a TAS out yet? Or am I just stupid?
there is a sheet with a few TAS clips included lol https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r2qE3BY8rO7S3Zlqe7D4y_bgjoumQW8Mgsl40qTjYyQ
@linny356 It's because the current TAS software is really time-consuming to use. (You have to write every input individually) There are TASes, but most of them are just small ones.
What if you triple jump right after throwing cappy, then ground pound on cappy? It could be tested in 2P. It could be possible if you land on the edge of cappy, but the centre would give more height. And after doing that it might start a ground pound jump (extra height) and then throw cappy as normal and do the same?
man its been a month i thought we were done lol
