World Domination% Guide (USA)

Hi, this is my guide on my most tested route for AoC1, as the US. Unlike other games, the country you pick makes no difference to your power. Location is usually the best way to pick a suitable country to play as, in case you were wondering. I just pick the US because of the heaping amounts of blank territories and few enemies from the start.

North America - If you're playing as the US, then expand north or west to start with. You'll notice that the southern coast gets taken by Jamaica, or the Dominican Republic. This is a good alliance opportunity, but remember to send them money before pressing "Alliance". If you do get war declared on you, by Canada, Mexico, Panama or the aforementioned two, it's a good alliance opportunity. Find another country that is at war with them, and try to make an alliance. As a side note, you should find an ally in Eastern Asia, usually Korea or Japan, around now. Really, the entire run is more about alliances than world conquest. Move on from North America when the whole continent is under you or your alliance, not before then. The next continent to move to is really your decision. Either get to Europe through Greenland and then Iceland, which will require you to backtrack after, or go to South America, as I do.

South America - When you get to South America, either Guyana or Brazil will have likely become dominant powers. Ask for alliances with caution. Argentina is an easy-to-convince and usually strong ally, but it should also be watched out for. Now, go to Europe.

Europe - Finland, Russia and Britain are the countries to watch out for in Europe. Finland and Russia, along with some Asian nations, and sometimes Norway/Sweden, have the potential to gain land and manpower from Siberia, as well ACCESS TO ALASKA, which makes them such a bigger threat if you're at war with them, and throughout my games, Britain is just the European country who is usually the most willing to join your alliance. Go to Africa if it is done.

Africa - By this point in the game, I expect South Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Mauritania or a European power to be in control of a lot of Africa. As you may see from my WR, African nations are quite stubborn with alliances (Sudan in particular.) You should usually just let your alllies take care of this by spamming "Next Turn" near to the end. The next stop is Asia.

Asia - Tactically, Asia is the hardest continent, by a long shot. That's why I told you to get an Asian ally at the beginning. China and Kazakhstan have great potential to be a threat here. Turkey can also seep into your European and African monopolies and ruin your day.

Oceania - To end off with, we have the easy continent of Oceania. If you ally with New Zealand/Australia, that's your run done! Congrats!

North America - South America - Europe - Africa - Asia - Oceania
North America - Europe - Africa - South America - Asia - Oceania
