How to Dash Jump (DJ) [Old Patch]

**Note:** This has since been patched of version 1.0.6.0.
Also, please play __Offline__ if you downpatch and use this technique so it doesn't mess with the in-game leaderboards for unfair advantage. It makes the Developer's life a bit easier.

**__How Dashing Works__**
* **Air Dash:** You get instantly up to 10000 u/s for 5-6 frames before instantly going back down to 1700 u/s.
* **Grounded Dash:** You get up to 10000 u/s for 2-4 frames, then after slowing down each frame for 3-5 frames, which upon the last frame you're down to 1700 u/s.
*(It might not even be tied to frames, but in-game milliseconds? I don't know, as it seems to differ each time I test it, but just take all this information as an approximation)*

With the aforementioned knowledge of how dashing works in this game, it's quite simply understood. Just jump while you get this insane speed increase from using the Dash. It's a tight window to press Jump, but if done correctly you'll get a speed increase above the normal 1700 u/s speedcap. Depending on your timing you will get different results of speed.

This means that it's way easier to perform this on lower FPS, such as 30/60fps than 120/144fps, etc...Because the game will be slower, thus it's easier to time the jump.

How to downgrade the game (For Any% runs)

## How to downgrade ?
Once you've downloaded DepotDownloader, unzip it in a directory that you can easily access ( on your desktop, for example). Then type cmd.exe into the adress bar and press enter to execute the command prompt from that folder.

A new window should pop up. You'll then want to paste the command below.

dotnet DepotDownloader.dll -app 1295390 -depot 1295391 -manifest 8421423862936261144 -username <YourSteamUsername> -password <YourSteamPassword>

**Note that DepotDownloader requires credentials of your Steam account in order to make connection with the Steam servers and download the Manifests of the game. Do it at your own risk.**

If everything is correct, it should look like this :

Now just wait for the dowload to finish. If the download time-out, close the window and redo the last step.

Once it's finished, go to depots -> 1295391 -> 6166032 and copy everything inside this folder, except for the ".DepotDownloader" into adverse's steam folder (right click on the game -> Manage -> Browse local files )

Congratulations ! You can now do Dash Jumps again !
