The Mcralen under the Hi-Speed setting is the fastest vehicle in the game, however it suffers from low grip.

I don't know the technical explanation behind it, but when cornering, after a certain amount of consecutive frames of the same direction being held, a spin out will occur. To avoid this, tapping and releasing a direction allows you to maintain max speed and not lose grip.
