Heya, peeps! Now that I'm actually on the leaderboard, I might as well share a few things I've learned from experimenting with the game. If you're looking for some speedy strategies to use for some runs, here's a few I've encountered:
Name: Tab Extend
Difficulty: Medium
Risk: Low
Description: If you position your mouse correctly during the computer rebooting section, you can just barely click the computer from the other side. It's much more reliable than running around, but it requires a lot of precision.
Time Save: Low
Name: Brief-Case
Difficulty: Hard
Risk: Medium
Description: I didn't invent this strategy, but I use it as a sort of starting goal for a run. If I'm able to deliver the briefcase to the NPC before the manager gets me, it's a Brief-Case. Otherwise, it's a run reset. You can tell if you're going to get a Brief-Case if you pick the briefcase up BEFORE he spawns for the first time.
Time Save: Medium
Name: Spooky Plants/Jack-O-Lantern
Difficulty: Very Hard
Risk: High
Description: This is the hardest strategy in my opinion. You have to not only get Brief-Case, but you also need to get the safe done as fast as possible to have the time to do this. You essentially need to finish watering all 12 of the plants before the manager comes for you, interact with the NPC to begin the cutscene, and run as fast as you can away from the manager. If done right, the cutscene will give you invincibility frames, and the manager will simply stop in front of you and walk away.
Time Save: Very High
Name: Double Wall/Wall Dupe
Difficulty: Medium
Risk: Low
Description: My personal favorite strategy. In the wall building section, if you are holding a wall and quickly click two placeable areas, the wall can duplicate and place down two instead of one. You can get a double wall up to 3 times, since there are segments you need to place.
Time Save: Medium-High [Depending on how many times you do it.]
Name: Double/Triple/Quadruple Generator
Difficulty: Medium-Very Hard
Risk: Low
Description: By quickly clicking in the green zone of a generator skill check, you can perform extra skill check inputs that allow for much quicker completion. Double Generators are the most reliable, Triple Generators are best for runs that need an extra time boost, and Quadruple Generators are best used as a last resort, as they require very quick mouse inputs. I've only gotten a successful Quadruple Generator once.
Time Save: Low-High [Depending on what variant you go for and if you mess up.]
Name: Leap(s) of Faith
Difficulty: Easy-Medium
Risk: Low-Medium
Description: During the storage section, there are two jumps you can make to save time. One is much easier and on the lower section, only requiring just a bit of sprinting to jump across. Just be aware of the invisible wall close by. The other one is on the upper level, which is much more difficult. By sprinting and jumping at the very edge of one of the platforms on the upper level, you can just barely make it to the pipe that's there. Both of these save a lot of time, as they skip the wait needed for the laser cycles.
Time Save: Low-Medium [Depending on which jumps you go for.]
That's all of the major ones I've found. If I encounter any more, I'll make sure to update you all. Bye for now!
