hello new super mario bros mario versus luigi kitty kitty ty gooffy little mod speedrun dot com forum, as you may have noticed the leaderboards have been revamped and I, for the most part, am a huge fan! No more 10 thousand categories yayyy.

However I have exactly 2 complaints. There are no rules for anything specifying what should be enabled and their values. (like am i allowed to spawn with a turnip mushroom?? I must know!)

And for anything other than like 1 star, waiting around for TEN SECONDS per star is just so much downtime and not nearly as fun for a speedrun, so i am asking very nicely for the 0 second star timer to come back (which yes would make another category but trust me its worth it).

also i am sorry if the leaderboard is still being made and rules are on the menu but the main thing is the 0 second star spawn in my opinion

So much for "then just use the fastest one"

@TheSMBKing in this case we figured it's the easiest to standardise the ruleset across the board by banning the use of Advanced Settings altogether, 10s is the default star frequency.

@FroppyLover Yes the board is still undergoing the rework, as you can see from the news post. Rules and finishing touches will be done in the upcoming days, I've just moved the 1.5k runs today to ILs which was the important part.

Banning advanced settings is like only allowing survival mode without any custom seed, any version differences, and all other settings in Minecraft.

But 0 seconds is way more fun 🙂‍↕️

@FroppyLover I'll let the future mods think about that, it's just the conclusion we came to in terms of saving the leaderboard. I could definitely understand 0s existing, but I kept getting told to add >10s as well, up to 999s, which just loses all credibility from the request.

I personally think 0 and 10 is all that's needed. I am not waiting 16 minutes per star; 999 seconds is such a troll

@FroppyLover I'm restoring every 0s and 5s run I rejected yesterday while running the rework, and putting them under the "0s" subcategory. Thank you for the feedback.
