Found a gamebreaking exploit

I'm pretty new on the general speedrun community so I don't know if his is the proper channel to discuss this topic, but I hope this information is useful.

I have been messing around with this game for a while, looking for ways to optimize a run, and in the process I found a very easy to execute exploit that allows anyone to get insanely low times.

This exploit in concrete allows you to progress in the game without triggering the in game timer, it has some limitations so you wouldn't be able to finish the game entirely without triggering the in-game timer, but it would allow you to have an insane advantage against people that doesn't use it.

(for reference my PB is 38:10, but using this exploit I was able to get a sub 36 run with little to no effort, and could have been even lower if I abused the exploit to it's full extent, but my purpose was only to find out if it really worked)

This exploit is only trully broken due to the wording of the rules of the "finish the game" category, basically exploiting the "rules as written" interpretation of them.

I'm cautious of disclosing the specifics of the exploit in such a public way as this, but I would be happy to share it with a moderator with the purpose of fixing the rules to avoid breaking the leaderboard.

PS: As i said at the beggining, I'm not very experienced with speedrunning, I get that the purpose of it is to find glitches and exploits unforseen by the developers in order to optimize a run beyond what was thought possible, but this kind of exploit seems out of limits to me, because it would not only abuse the game mechanics, but also the category rules and the spirit of these.
