Is there any chance we could get a no rewind rule set/extension for the runs as well? having to prep for blueshells is at least part of the strategy of these runs for me - while it does introduce a larger element of RNG, having no rewind would make it a similar category to the older with item rulesets.
I really like this idea.
Right now no rewind is denoted in the run description by [NO REWIND] making it possible but annoying to compare no rewind times.
Separating them to its own category would solve the annoyance.
Agreed, this makes a notable difference to run strategy and would be great to see an easier differentiation.

This is not something we are going to implement now when the leaderboards open. Our focus over the next few weeks is going to be on getting through the first influx of runs (I am expecting quadruple digits of submissions). It is clear that there is some community feedback about this and I will take this on and me and the moderators will discuss it. This is not a guarantee that we will implement this change. We will likely look at the feedback given here and the leaderboards as well and make a decision in a few weeks' time. In the interim, if you are submitting a No-Rewind run to the leaderboards today, please start your run description with '[NO-REWIND RUN]'. This will be visible to anyone who hovers over your submission when it is verified and on the leaderboards, which should help you track No-Rewind runs in the meantime. It will also help us to gather information on who is doing no-rewind runs, and how many. If you do not do this, it affect our ability to track how many people are doing no-rewind runs, so please ensure you do this when you submit your runs.
Yeah I mean, regardless of if/when you add it, I'm still never using rewind so that's how it goes, I'll try to remember what you said, but hidden in a forum I might forget
Just wanna point out that yall forgot the obsolete runs that are no rewind when labelling the runs
This is now a feature on the leaderboards, when submitting a run, choose the option of No-Rewind.
You can also filter the existing board by no-rewind runs too!
Correct lol, it wasn't when those old runs were submitted and they were labelled "no rewind" in the description as requested. I would've commented on the announcement of the feature, but that's not possible. Just saying if "It is important that Rewind runs and No-Rewind runs are accurately tracked" then older runs should get labeled properly too
