I really wanna see the 2k Record in a sub 30 Time so i thought i share how i try to go for those times:

1. Reset the round so you get 3 Tiles that are either Forest or Fields. I think every first 3 Cards are quests and if theyre all the same you can plan how to place them so you finish them all instantly. Another good thing is, when you get 3 rivers, you can place them in a row away from the center and hope you get forest afterwards
2. Forests are very good because the Quests are always unbound. For Villages/Wheat/Water/Tracks there can be quests that are bound to e.g 10 Tiles/Houses, but Forests always have X+ Quests so you can always build huge forests to get the quests (But in general i feel like it worth it to lose a bounded quest, because building up a second big structure wastes time and the points you get from the placement to a big structure feels more worth it).
3. Water is kinda nice aswell, because a lot of time is wasted rotating the tiles to match it, water (and tracks) autoalign. But water is better because you can get ponds which connects to grass and you get passive points for connected tiles.
4. Whith these things in mind, just like a normal playtrough divide the map up into Water/Tracks, Forest, Wheat and Village and try to only look in the bottom right corner to see whats coming next and dont care about rotating and just place it without spending a second thought, if there is a misplace undo it and replace.
5. When you get a lot of lucky quests in a row for the same Resource and you just spam the tiles onto each other without any thought its crazy how fast you get points.
6. I think getting good times is a 60% Luck thing and you need to reset runs a lot. I always reset when there are too many different tile types at the start which cramms everything up
7. Make the screen as small as possible so you can look at the bottom right corner for the new cards while having the game board on your peripheral vision. When its smaller you have a bigger effiective Fov

Im really interested tho in other tactics, i mean not a lot people run this game but i really wanna know what one can do with it :)
