A Guide to Modern Beebrunning

Tips and tricks:
beeb hopping (discovered by AmYourFriend(on speedrun.com)/-ᴮᵘᵍᶠʳⁱᵉⁿᵈᴸⁱˡʸ-(discord))
By pressing the f5 key on your keyboard, we can reset the room we are in. This will instantly transport Beebo to a set position in the room, based on the round we are on. This can be used to cut down on traversal times. this trick is not necessary for beebrunning, and time advantage gained through beebhopping can be blundered. If you wish to try beebhopping, I recommend doing a few practice runs first.
r4 tv room convo partial skip:
By clicking on Simon then rapidly clicking on right hand door, it is possible to have Beebo and Ángel navigate to the door before the dialogue ends. This can save a second or two.
r2 f5 open:
Resetting clock room during r4 after talking with marigold will open r2 without need for key. Benefits of keeping key past this point yet to be seen but saves a second or half.
r2 hallway convo f5 skip:
Resetting main hallway with f5 while Nina and Marigold are in it during r2 skips the otherwise necessary dialogue there. saves approximately 2 or 3 seconds.
ending 8 f5 skip:
Pressing f5 after the explosion sound effect plays and dialogue starts during ending 8 will skip that section of dialogue. saves approximately 2 or 3 seconds.
relief tension skip:
By pressing the down arrow key during the relief tension minigame, it can be skipped entirely.
Glitches to avoid:
Gallery repeat glitch:
Spamming left click where the door was during the gallery sleep sequence can result in Beebo exiting the sequence without triggering its completing, meaning that you will have to proceed an extra 20 rooms before completing the first persist section of gallery. This is a massive timeloss that I consider to be run ending. This Glitch can be avoided by moving your mouse away from where the door was when you first enter couch room.
Gallery softlock:
Sometimes when the gallery repeat glitch is triggered Beebo will be unable to move. This can theoretically be fixed with backspace or f5 (untested).
House intro crash:
Spamming left click on the door into the house during the intro walk and holding spacebar can crash the game. can be avoided by not spam clicking or by moving mouse.
Marigold disappearing glitch:
There is a glitch where pressing right click when spam clicking to talk to Marigold in r2 will cause her to disappear without giving you the key. Talking to Marigold normally will avoid this issue.
note: pressing backspace can unstick you if beebo's not moving. So can f5 but that resets the whole room.
Run Guide:
Tutorial/intro:
do tutorial
click pin board, letter on desk then door
walk up to house and enter
Round one:
go to bar and get key
open kitchen and get magnet
get key from aquarium
open office and get email
show email to Vivi
click any option then go outside and talk to Ángel
go to bar and click ground before talking to Ángel to avoid being unable to exit bar afterwards
position cursor on line between glasses and spam click
leave bar talk to Vivi and complete minigame
go to stairs then click on painting in clock room
Round two:
click on door to main hallway and proceed to clock room
talk to Marigold and access stairs room
go upstairs first and do phone minigame
go downstairs and do whiteboard minigame
go to main hallway for convo with Marigold
go to office for Marigold convo there
go to balcony and talk to Marigold, Ángel, and Vivi (in that order)
leave balcony and to sound minigame
return to balcony and end round 2
Round three:
click on door to main hallway
go to office and talk to angel
talk to police chief then interact with rock(I think its a rock) and proceed up ladder
exit office once dialogue ends and to to tv room and do box puzzle there (46305)
go to bar and open box to access bar storage
click on bottle in bottom right corner of bar and then leave
go to clock room and talk to Simon
go to right hallway and interact with top painting
go to room outside bar and interact with record player
talk to Owen through bathroom door
access storage and get toilet paper
give toilet paper to Owen
go into bathroom and use Ángel's knife on ducks
exit bathroom and talk to Owen again
make sure that when you land on a wheel segment you are not on the edge in a different segment when you click ask
interact with chest
solve chess puzzle (I do left to right but right to left may be marginally faster)
talk to Owen and go to patio
go to the shed, interact with photobook and end round
Round four:
click on snacks table not door
go to clock room and talk to Marigold
go to r2 bed and fill in everyone's names and roles
interact with small stain and leave r2
interact with hole in stairwell
go to main hallway and turn head left
go to clock room and open l1
interact with piano, toilet paper, and leave l1
go to r2 and get batteries from cat
go to l1 and put batteries in piano (Re Fa Sol La La# La Mi Do Re)
go to main hallway and give toilet paper to Owen
talk to Simon in tv room to get puzzle piece
go to clock room and unlock r1
complete cat puzzle to get stairs key
open stairs and talk to Nadia
open l1 and talk to Nadia to begin gallery
walk to studio and walk back
continue until you reach stairs for the first time. when you first reach stairs, start counting rooms
find a left right door and repeatedly go back and forth through it to increase room counter. this will not work with an up down door (to my knowledge)
sleep on couch and continue into gallery, find left right door and count 20 rooms
do beebobreak section
go to main hallway and into left bathroom
exit left bathroom and talk to Nadia
spam click through fight options
click on white book to proceed to round 5
Round 5
Exit to outside and go right
talk to Ángel
interact with small snow pile next to corner of house
go back inside and talk to Simon to get office key
go into office, interact with bookshelf to get painting key and open painting
exit out of office and go to bar
do bar sequence (Diaz(bottom right), Certificate(Center evidence page), Oliver(top right), factory(bottom right), Simon(bottom right center), Nina(bottom left center) then (Middle, right, left, center, left)
Talk to Owen in main hall to get patio key
Go to shed and select second floor hall
go back down without talking to Ángel and proceed directly to stairs
initiate ending sequence, select feed his ego which appears over the second button on Coli's shirt
press epilogue button (otherwise run is invalid)
Beebrun Cleared!
Unexplained Glitches
Early gallery glitch:
There is a glitch where the room randomizer for gallery will activate before it is supposed to. The cause of this glitch is unknown. This is not a run ending glitch although may constitute a minor time loss or save. To my knowledge, this has only ever occurred once.
Double Phone glitch:
There is a glitch where when interacting with the balcony to end r2 can trigger the phone minigame instead. I think this has something to do with spam clicking but I am not certain. To my knowledge, this has only ever happened once.
