Maine, USAI know it's unfair for the people that can't get the armor but look at it this way they can't complain about not having the armor because they didn't own the game when SRL was around or just didn't care enough to get the armor when they still could. I mean look at me I started speedrunning this game in October 2014 and I don't have the helmet but I honestly could care less about having it either the only way I would ever come back to running this game was if overdrive tapping was back and was just as fast as it was when it was still possible.
Plus again look at games like fallout 3 who did the same thing that I did with a trick that save a lot more time and only some people are able to do it. they keep the runs that used speed cripple and the runs that don't use speed cripple on the same page but the filter separates the times.
well I don't really care if it's not enough for some people I don't want to over clutter the leaderboards again like when we had Pre 2.1 runs on the front page. plus I still over rule all of you since I have been a super mod on this page for over a year.
have you even looked at what the filter does to the leaderboard it seperates the time by completely getting rid of the other times that don't have the same value checked off.
That's just gonna clutter up the leaderboards a lot when you can just do what I said we were doing from the start which is just use the new variable which separates the leaderboards in one page by using the gear filter. It works the same as the variable to show which class you ran on.
yes but if you add a Solo SRL category your gonna have to add Duo SRL and Fireteam SRL categories as well. Because what if the full fireteam used SRL gear wouldn't that be unfair for other fireteams who couldn't use it.
No the categorys stay the same just check off on his runs that he used SRL gear in the variable section of the run submission.
If anybody including the the minor mods want to add a new category make a forum asking first and me and FleshCrunch will decide weather we should add it or not.Thanks in advance and hope that we can resolve the issues that we've had recently.
Seriously guys this helmet issue is getting way out of hand we're keeping the leaderboards the way they are except with the new gear variable which separates the times in the one leaderboard itself. If you only want to see times without SRL you can click on the filter button in the leaderboard and click NO SRL and then you will only see times that didn't use the helmet. This decision stands because we don't need to clutter the page with more unnecessary sub categories.
I run the game and glitch/skip hunt mostly, but I currently don't have a capture card and my internet sucks to much to stream.
Don't worry scar I'm gonna fix it later but I'm a little to busy to fix it right now.
plus whoever decided to make a sub-category to the leaderboards should change it back to the way it was since the gear variable made up for the fact that people won't be able to get the helmet. look at it like a fallout 3 run there is a glitch called speed cripple it saves a lot of time over the run but some people can't do it so they added a variable to the leaderboard where you check off weather you used speed cripple or not.
The leaderboard is staying the way it is. The reason I added the SRL and NO SRL gear variable is so people can use the filter in the leaderboard to show only runs that use the helmet or don't use the helmet.
I fixed it. I added a new variable to the IL's you check when you are submitted a run weather you used SRL or No SRL.
Hope this compensates for the fact some people cant get gear.
