I have always been quite into speedrunning. I have one problem.I don't have a capture card so is it ok if I use my phone/laptop to film the screen instead? Thanks for any of those who respond.

It should be fine to record with your phone, as long as you can see the whole screen it should still be verifiable, I would check with the mods and the rules of the game you want to play though if you're not 100% sure in case they have certain requirements for videos but for most games you should be fine doing it that way.

Using your phone or laptop to film the screen is fine for casual speedrunning, but a capture card provides better quality. Just ensure the video is clear enough for verification if submitting runs!
