I made playlist ^ that I'd appreciate if you check out, Its full of 6 short clips of glitches I was trying find new stuff. Im really not sure if any of these have been found or anything, but I played a couple hours messing around.
This may seem crazy but I was trying to find an early Windy valley or going into the jungle, but i couldn't seem to find a loading zone. So the loading zone are probably brought out by the wind key and the jungle mine cart. But im not sure If this is all meaningless nonsense, but check it out and let me know. thx
It's very unlikely that any new routes are going to be found by this point, because many of the loading zones in this game are triggered by specific story flags. For instance, Red Mountain is not accessible until the Kiki has been destroyed; even if you clip through the gate, there's just no loading zone there.
^ what Drakodan said. You can technically start by some different stages like Casinopolis, Speed Highway or Twinkle Park and so on, but it's slow. In fact, any meme / glitched route are slow. For the rest, the game will just stop you with a flag or a softlock (like if you try to go to Red Mountain just after Emerald Coast for example.)
Gpro made a lot of glitchs hunting, so I think Sonic Story is already pretty optimized right now. There's still some ridiculous fast strats (TAS strats specially) that we don't use, but that's pretty much else.
Since we're on the topic, has there been any look into a credits warp or something that force the game to take you to the credits?
The credits depends on the flags too i think so unless you activate them you can't warp to the credits
Hi all, just an update on the console boards...
XBLA and PSN have been separated into different sub-categories. While this may stifle competition in the console boards overall, it should make things more fair.
I have manually retimed all of the XBLA runs above a certain time threshold without cuts
