Should switch clips be allowed for in game timer runs?

Switch clips are both easier and better quality than some shaky camera footage. Obviously there is a concern for splicing however with runs that use an in game timer this shouldnt be an issue as there is no way to fake them in this way (unless its possible to TAS save states in switch games but then it would also be possible to record a tas without seperate clips). For a irl time run clips would make splicing easier and timing inaccurate but for in game timer runs i dont see the issue. If all clips are consistent with the previous and there is no gaps i think it is almost impossible for someone to fake them.

I was thinking similarly! It just seems much easier and accessible for everyone in these cases (runner and viewer)-- and like you said, the in-game time keeps everyone in-check.

The only thing I was wonder about is gaps between one clip and another (many Treasure Road stages are naturally longer than 30 secs, taking at least two clips). Upon creating a new clip, it doesn't connect to the previous one seamlessly; instead such a gap is created, impossible to avoid at that--

If applicable, should runners choose a safe spot in their run where creating a clip doesn't interfere with their play or the action? If an action is partially missed (like an enemy running toward, but you see kirby finishing it off), is it enough that this action is implied and that the timer is consistent (assuming we can figure out how long such gaps last in-game time)?

Thank you, thank you!

indeed, for some speedruns of shorter main sections, like the colliseum and so, cool that would be kinda hard to manage for longer runs tho
