So I just lost my first real attempt at 'Prequels' over an hour in because P1 decided to switch from Controller to M&K for seemingly NO reason. I didn't hit a key on my keyboard(I'd been using my keyboard the whole run for my Livesplit hotkeys, but at the instance it dropped the controller I hadn't hit anything) and it refused to accept controller inputs until I reset the game, which obviously killed the run. The controller was still connected and never disconnected from my PC so I have no idea why it randomly switched to M&K. Any help would be awesome

It most likely happened because your controller got disconnected while you had player 2 called in. When that happens you have to drop out with p2 on keyboard and then call back in on controller.

-dark_reveller I tried that, I went to controls>change device>and when it said to input on the device I wanted to connect I got some "you can't do that" thud sound(IDRK how to describe it) when I pressed a button on my controller. Since P2 wasn't called in I couldn't drop out and the game wouldn't accept any controller inputs so I could call in P2 and drop P1 to get controller input back

-Pickletoe P2 was never connected and I never got a disconnect sound from windows. As far as I can tell the controller didn't disconnect from my PC, the game just stopped accepting controller inputs and switched to M&K

The controller getting disconnected doesn't usually make the windows disconnect sound you'll usually be able to tell by sets of 3 freezes at a time. What controller are you using?
