Was watching some youtube videos when I saw youtube recommended me this video titled: HE Beat This Game In 30 minutes When It Took Me 30 HOURS!!
If you watch the start, he makes some really corny jokes, then talks about the video he is reacting to, gives the name of the runner and tells his "fans" to check out his other videos and his channel. He also gives a link to the original video at the bottom of the description after all his social media links.
So my question to everyone, are you ok with this? I know reaction videos are a hit or a miss among most people. The guy did credit DraQu, but do you feel like this is just stealing someone's content and just talking over it? Is he taking views away from DraQu, or is he helping new people discover DraQu's content on youtube?
Also forgot to point out, if you allows ads for the video, at least on the desktop, the guy has 5 ads set up to monetize off his "reaction" video of the speedrun. That is crazy if you ask me, looks kind of desperate...
If BHD got permission to use the video I see no problem with it. If he didn't, however, he can go fuck himself.
I agree with Racingmonster, it's not fair that they can make so much money for no effort when animators get nothing compared to them.
The only way reaction videos can be good is if they only show parts of the video they're watching, not the whole damn thing, even than they should still have to get permission from the owner of the video
