Suggestion: Allow RTA to be lower than LRT
2 years ago

Due to a recent livesplit component for Dishonored, the game allows us to speed up about 9 mins of cutscenes, this component also speeds up the livesplit timer, so the RTA time is about 24 mins, while LRT comes out to about 32 mins for top level runs. With current site configuration we can not input our RTA times with this mod. Any way we can get an option to disable this blocker?

In bloodwash, we have a mod that allows you to skip 21:56 minutes of waiting. Our times gets penalised by 21:56 so that times are comparable if you do or don't use the mod. RTA doesn't have to literally be the real time it took, just what it would take. That's my opinion at least.

Change the default timing method to RTA in the "Info" section of settings.

And manually edit a ton of runs? Sounds counterproductive

No it would just remove all the loadless times

@jackzfiml We don't want RTA to be default timing method, one of the goals of the mod is to keep LRT comparable to non modded runs while reducing downtime/ time stuck in cutscenes.

@diggity This is a solution under current implementation on the site, but having the actual RTA time would be better imo. another solution would be to not input RTA for modded runs. Allowing moderators to toggle the RTA timing restriction in game settings would be my ideal solution
