Here's a quick tut on how to fix savefile based problems with the game. Mainly those are random audio/video freezes, loading time issues, problems with loading main menu, etc. which some of us encounter from time to time when having messed with the savefiles earlier, for example to create practice files on read-only.

Savefiles are located at: Steam\userdata\67311404\360830\remote

• move your save files somewhere else
• restart PC
• open game -> delete each slot in-game -> close game
• open game -> start a new game in each slot -> close game (for safety: copy those files out and keep them for if everything breaks apart)
• move your save files back into the remote folder

After that procedure you should be able to enjoy the game again.

Mod Edit: If you somehow accidentally upload your corrupt save files to Steam Cloud, use this guide https://archive.is/O4OZe (this is an archive of a steam forum page) to delete the save data in the Steam Cloud. You can stop after Part II. step 2. The rest of the steps are if you want the cloud to remain empty such that you can start fresh on another computer.
