I just wanted to post this because I noticed even in the any% run they didn't hit this manip. I am brand new to actually practicing this game but I have hit this a few times now. X-Men Snes Gambit Level One Elevator Manip. (language warning I get hype haha) I am running this live late nights after 11pm usually (central time) on funkyfuji on twitch if you wanna come talk X-men or other snes runs!
this is crazy cool! how does it work exactly? looks like the barrel his hitting the floor right as the elevator stops? insane
Seems like it, I think it might have some sort of lag effect with the explosion sprites? so there's too many on the screen so it like doesn't spawn the buff dudes at the right moment. It does seem to be frame perfect, I have spent plenty of resets at this point trying to hit it in a run haha. I do have a bit of a set up. Basically the elevator bar passes gambits head I start the combo, count to 2 and then break the barrel as the first bar hits the top of the screen. I don't know if that explains it but sometimes I've hit it max streak of 7 times in a row in save state practice. I probably have a better clip of me explaining it ill try to find it in my recordings.
