Description

This route uses the Golden Lord faction, which allows for efficient expansion in all directions, as well as the fact that there is a ruin conveniently placed two steps away from the starting city. :-) This route relies on getting at least 3 wizards in this ruin, which allows for the capture of 21 cities by the end of the second turn. The AI players usually don't start moving until after turn 3.

Getting this run was quite a pain, as the odds of getting wizards in the nearest ruin are around 40 to 1. Additionally, more often than not at least one army dies during this route, so the odds of getting a "good" run are quite low, around 100 to 1. This route only requires 3 wizards, so I grouped the last two together for insurance, as this section of the run represented the greatest chance of losing a wizard.

Overall, I am very happy with this time; during practice the best I had done up to this point was 1:34, so to beat it during an actual run was quite satisfying. The execution was solid, with no misclicks, though I slowed down a bit at the end due to nerves. With absolutely perfect execution I could see this (maybe) reaching 1:2x, but it definitely won't be me who tries! XD
