Rule Change Suggestion for ILs

Hi, I am einso. Today I submitted a IL run for the first level, with a time of 9s 980ms. Problem with the run: it's fake.

Switch Homebrew is now really accessible to everyone who currently owns a Switch, which means save editing is possible. I had to literally edit one value to set my time to the time I reached.

Thus, I would like to make a suggestion on a rule change: Since the Switch has built in Video Capture, Video Proof of the last 30 seconds of the IL (or the whole attempt if it's less than 30 seconds long) should be uploaded. This is just as easy to do as posting a photo, but prevents people from just editing their saves.

Also, please delete the run. I'm not able to but I certainly don't want to pretend its a real run.

It'd be a good suggestion if Vroom in the Night Sky was a game that supported video capture. For such a niche game, I don't think video capture should be necessary. People can cheat sure, but if they're going to cheat for a WR on Vroom in the Night Sky of all things, they should look at their priorities.

The game doesn't support video capture? Ok, that makes everything I said somewhat pointless.

If save editing is a concern, the rule could be changed to show the Result menu instead of the best time on the course select. It'd mean people couldn't save edit at least.

damn thanks for bringing this 2 attention the only way i can think of around this is video proof being needed (older runs w/o vids will stay though)
