I did the run in 56 segments and used only in-game saving for the segments. My route was pretty much the same as the any% route, but with risky strategies on certain bosses.

Segmented runs are time consuming, so I only did one run without really planning ahead. In the end the only thing I came to regret was committing to bloody patch early in the run. I ended up not using it outside the final battle, so I could have just got it in Yggdrasil without wasting any time.
