The quickest way to level is level-up training using the same species/type. So making Gold pot Pokémon for training is viable here.

Also you can pick up the Bulbasaur flag and Fearow decorations to make level-up training move valuable per Pokémon used.

I agree that we have been using the level leaderboard as a misc. category. Maybe if we get some time we can transfer the categories over but as it stands it is lower on the priority list since there wouldn't be a "level" replacement anyways.

I do agree with you that we aren't using the level leaderboard as intended.

We know that the current All% does not include all the tribes and does not include the full amount of enemy tribes in game. This is a proposal to the community to rename All% to 9tribe% (or something better give me ideas). We would then create a new category with 15 enemy tribes. We would call this All% or 15tribe% (pending better name suggestions).

I would like to move away from All% personally until the developer confirms that they will not be adding any new tribes so we don't run into this problem again.

If you have a category name suggestion the name should be easily understood and give a quick idea of what the category is about. Thanks everyone!

Alright, I updated the rules to make more sense. Now it only displays that rule under the Any% category.

I should have clarified, but no old runs are still good and won't be invalidated. Just the runs from here on out need to show the setup.

The Creative category is open, go get some WRs!

With the inclusion of the Creative category it is important that the game setup is to be shown at the beginning of each run submitted. Otherwise it will take more work from the mods trying to determine if your run used creative settings or not.

Right now creative runs require at least one opponent, subject to change if there is a good argument.

What we could do is make a third category mode. Rather than force everyone to use creative for Domination and Glory runs, Creative could be it's own category. I would prefer this over dumping established runs. The Creative category could be home to some of the fastest runs but ultimately this game is still heavy on RNG and speed. A creative category that matches Domination and Glory would be very easy to implement on the moderators side of things.

If there isn't any traction on this subject I think that'll be the course of action we take. I would like to see what people come up with for the Creative runs especially at higher tribe counts!

I'm not sure this glitch still exists in the updated version. I think if new glitches are found a glitched category could be made.

I think the remedy for this is to make an All% no items category. For the Trainee no gold I'm just referring to the free gold they give you after the first turn.

Yea, I'm thinking remove Free%. Also, changing Ruby% to be another 1v1 category that you just need one Ruby tribe to play. Whale% will be the same.

All% is meant to be for a 10 tribe game, so only the most dedicated would really run the category.

I thought about the Trainee free gold and limiting items. I can specify a Trainee - No Gold difficulty. As for items and mercenaries I wasn't too worried about limiting them for the main categories. I did want to see if any strategies would evolve involving the items.

The solution I could see is an Any% -No items category. I feel like there would be too much overlap with the current Any% though. I'll have to try out items myself to see what kind of difference they make.

If anything items and mercenaries would have the most impact on the All% category since all the other categories are 1v1s that rely on spawning near the enemy tribe and quickly outsmarting the AI. Any additional "menuing" could slow down the 1v1 categories ruining times.

I might try some runs with items see how things go.

You are right, the catagories could receive an overhaul.

I have been considering deleting Free% since once you buy a tribe via real money or rubies you can't run Free% the way the current rules intend since you can't disable tribes.

Any% and Free% would be dominated by Arabis so it makes sense to default to Any%. Unless Free% only includes the first 2 tribes.

I could change the Ruby% rules to what you are mentioning because with the current rules you would be forced to not make any purchases.

Then the payed for tribes could be Pay% or Whale%. We might see more variety in runs if it is broken up this way.

As for All% I would like to maintain that as the "slow" run of the board.

First of all thanks for being the first runner that's not me!

As for timing, I have been timing on the first frame I see the map while is fading in and the first frame that any part of the victory screen appears.

There could also be an argument to start the timer as soon at the "creating world" text appears to shrink the gap between mobile and PC runs. Mobile will eventually get an update that matches PC, but that's TBD right now. My intention isn't to invalidate mobile runs especially if PC and Mobile aren't seperate categories.

The timing on PC is a bit different, it doesn't fade to black after the create world text fades out. Instead it fades into the map.

I think it makes sense to start timing as soon as the map starts becoming visible and the end time would remain the same.

EDIT: If timed this way the World Record holder would be at 13s instead of 14s
