Thanks for the replies guys! I decided to try finishing the game in one sitting just to get used to it, didn't realize it would be so hard. YOU GUYS ARE INSANE. Ended up finishing in 4:37:00, so not really even a run. Didn't really know any strats, and I kind of stopped playing in "speed run mode" after Shibuya. Definitely gonna practice segments and strats a lot now before trying the whole thing again. Tried the sewer skip but didn't get it.
If anybody happens to want to watch two nerds talk over a webcam pointed at a TV and see me play the only parts I've really practiced, I finished up to Shibuya in 21:09 :
If you notice any glaring flaws in how I'm playing, feel free to let me know. I don't blame you if you don't want to watch this GREAT QUALITY STREAM HIGHLIGHT though.. going to get a capture card soon
Hey guys, a buddy recently got me interested in speedrunning; never thought it would be possible to beat this game in under 2 hours before I looked it up! Never even considered speedrunning before, but this actually seems like a lot of fun so I might as well give it a try. Definitely gonna have to watch a few videos before I give the full run a try.
Is this something that I should practice a lot in different segments before attempting a full any% run, or should I just go for a not-so-great full run just to get used to finishing the game in one sitting?
I recorded a video of me practicing but don't know if I should be posting random, not full runs on this forum?
