With all due respect, I feel like a rule like that is implied. You're basically submitting a TAS as a run and wondering why it isn't in the rules. Using savestates to save the perfect rng and just grind out perfecting the movement has such an advantage over not using a savestate. But now you know, just treat runners with respect and have fun. Only reason this was any bit of an uproar is because it felt really disrespectful to the already established runs/runners. But anyway, have fun, and good luck on future runs.

You played, from a savestate that had the best rng possible. How tf did this get verified? That's not how you run this

So, the thing I found, what you do is pause and unpause a bunch of times while before the screen shows back up of your game, you press A. For some reason, every time you unpause, it will fire 3 regardless of what you previously fired. So the sequence is fire, pause, B, A, pause, and so on. If done right, this will produce a continuous flow of shots with absolutely 0 delay. It is faster than rapid fire and can be used most efficiently on phases 2 and 3 of the fight; this even allows you to bypass the last 50/50 if done properly and consistently saves time. The start of the fight itself doesn't change much with this, it is still 50/50, and rapid-fire should still be used for the fastest results. Once you spawn into the room you can go up and do the pause trick and not worry about the 50/50 whatsoever and still manage a 1:24.XX. There are a couple of downsides to the trick, however. One is that movement is difficult and nearly impossible to do mid-trick. In phase 2, you will need to execute almost perfectly to get all of the shots in and avoid being hit by Kamek's attack, the same with phase 3. The other downside is if you mistime pressing A after unpausing, you will be punished by getting little to no shots during the unpause. A simple fix to that is just to keep going with the trick, you will lose some time, but it will be ok. A 1:25 time is still possible even with some slip-ups, but with everything done smoothly, a solid 1:24 is achievable. Who knows, maybe there will be a way to move adequately and do the trick to save some time on phase 1, but for now, this is what I have discovered and what I have to offer: a continuous line of shots that eliminates most rng during this fight.
