That's a good idea I guess. I wasn't aware of this. I'm going to discuss this in the discord rather than cluttering up the forums.
Yesterday I submitted 3 runs (16, 32 and 64 keyboard) and all 3 and even one from several days earlier were denied for having "suspicious gameplay". In my opinion, the moderators are responsible for explaining WHY these runs are rejected. It isn't acceptable to not provide a reason. If you want people to continue running the game, you have to be thorough. If it truly is "suspicious gameplay" then I would love to know why so I can fix whatever is wrong. Thanks.
No, they are different. If you want to connect your switch to the capture card, you're going to need an HDMI to RCA. Otherwise it won't work.
No. You also need an HDMI to RCA adapter like this: http://a.co/d/3hExKG0
The GV-USB2: http://a.co/d/1A4Y4B5 doesn't directly work with the Switch HDMI. You're going to need an HDMI to RCA adapter like this one: http://a.co/d/3hExKG0
When you plug the GV-USB2 into your computer you should be able to use it as a video source in OBS.
But in your price range the GV-USB2 is definitely the best option.
If you can afford to spend another $20, you should get an avermedia. If not, the option mentioned above by @Bernlord is more than fine.
An active mod or even verifier would be nice. I currently have a total of 12 runs waiting to be verified from over the course of around 2 weeks. GamingLand is very active and reliable so I'm sure he would make a great mod.
Wow that's really helpful. Thanks!
I don't think number of coins and specific jumps effect RNG, but I'm also a beginner at this category so you should wait for someone knowledgeable to respond to this topic. However, I'm 100% sure of the fact that sliding down slopes in the blue shell is slower. If you come across a slope in the blue shell, jump instead because overall it saves time. i.e. 5-3
Hey guys, I've gone back, retimed and resubmitted all my incorrectly timed minigames. I've also fixed the titles of the videos. A moderator will check them, and after they're public you guys can check them if you want. Again, sorry about this.
No embarrassment here. Obviously that person is me. I’m not at a computer right now, but when I am (probably in a few hours) I will retime them from the first start frame and I will change the times as soon as I can. If a moderator would also like to do so, please feel free. Thank you for bringing this up. I would feel bad if my inaccurate timing caused someone faster than me to be placed below me on the leaderboard. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will make sure to take note of this for all future runs. Again, my apologies. I will be cautious to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.
The .exe files are setup files that install a zip/winrar file with a rom inside. Like everyone else said, just search up "New Super Mario Bros. rom" and click the first one.
Huh. I also doubt that this could be used in a run efficiently, but it's still interesting.
