For anyone interested in recreating everyone's favorite All-Somethings category in this game, I have played "All Forts" (All Towers) a few times. I know one submission does not a leaderboard or category make, but I'm putting this here in case there's interest from others.
Route skips most of The Ice, Water, and Jungle worlds using the secret exits out of Worlds 2 and 4.
Pick a game you love to play A LOT, because after a little bit you will be resetting a lot. It has to be a game you don't mind restarting a lot, so the game doesn't become a chore.

What is "the first frame" of timing? The moment the screen is visible after the black load screen? (I guess the natural follow up is "when is the goal met?")
Turns out this game crashes a lot. Is there any good advice for how to get around this, or is it just save a lot and pray?
Wall jumping is in a Nintendo publication as something the player is encouraged to try out, as Tompa said.
As Kirua said, there's minimal difference between the categories.
My vote is a strong NO on separate boards.
Like RCD said, the problem is trust over time. The excellent point raised by many people is that data caps are somehow allowed to exist, or people live enough in the middle of no where that it is impractical to stream.
So what to do?
The web cam is probably the best idea. Mostly so that over time you can see some consistency across runs, some natural reactions, and some demonstration of skill over time.
This is definitely a problem that extends beyond Mario, so it'd be interesting to think about what can be done as a standard everywhere.
